Newly remodeled log cabin with huge screened in porch, done in cedar, new kitchen, new bathroom, new large living room with stone gas fireplace, cedar ceiling. Three bedrooms, one very large with vaulted ceiling. On Beautiful Burt Lake, a great swimming and fishing lake, which connects to crooked river, then crooked lake and pickeral lake, connects to Indian river, Mullet Lake, Cheyboygan river, Lake Huron! 15 miles to Petosky with a large new gambling casino and many fine shops and restaurants. 25 miles to Mackinaw City, then catch a ferry to Mackinaw Island. We are not taking summer rentals bookings for 2010 until after January 1, 2010 and we are not renting after September 30, 2009

Our cabin is on the famous Northern Michigan Inland waterway- the longest stretch of inland water in the state. The best place to go boating in Michigan. Lakes and rivers are everywhere, with beautiful scenery. Lots of beautiful golf courses, and great fishing. Snow Skiing 15 miles away-Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob. Shopping, great restruants and festivals all through the area,especially Petosky, Harbor Springs, and Mackinaw City. Mackinaw Island is breathtaking-25 miles away

Notes: Smoking is allowed only out in the screened in porch. Has a spiral staircase to 2nd floor, so someone with trouble climbing stairs may have trouble.

Further details for this vacation cabin rental in Burt Lake, Michigan

Area by lake-in front of cabin: we share 316 of frontage with 8 other cottages. We have a large community fire pit with free wood, and lots of benches- this is a great place for socializing with other vacationers. We have a wooden bench swing 3 ft from lake, a wooden swing set, basket ball hoop and volley ball net

dock area: We have a nice dock straight out from our cottage (about 75yrds) and buoys to tie your boat to at night. We have a peddle boat you can use. The water has very nice hard sand and no weeds at all. We are on a point and we have fabulous views of the sunsets and sunrises. We also have a creek that runs behind the cottage.

Fishing: Burt lake is a great fishing lake and so are the rivers and lakes it connect to, Perch and Walleye are great catches. We have a fish cleaning shed with running water right behind our cottage, so you don't have to stink up the kitchen cleaning fish
