On the main floor:
Once inside the home, surrounded by its vivid colors, you can see the eclectic mix of old and new. Furnished with traditional Mexican rustic furniture, the elegant dining room crowned with its wrought iron chandelier, has seating for 8. Step down into the living room and you will find all the modern conveniences. A big screen TV, cable, including channels such as HBO, DVD player, a docking station for your iPod, and wireless Internet.
In the kitchen with its deep cobalt blue talavera tiles you will find it well stocked with everything you need to prepare your meals at home. There is a Whirlpool gas stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, garberator and cold water dispenser.
There is also a half bathroom located off of the living room.
On the second floor:
Upstairs the bedrooms are furnished with Mexican rustic furniture and comfortable Sealy mattresses. Two of the bedrooms have balconies overlooking the pool. One with a king size bed, the other with a queen. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms with a shower, and have been decorated with hand painted talavera tiles, and sinks. The 3rd bedroom has a balcony overlooking the front of the house, and has a Queen size bed. Its bathroom comes with a soaker tub.
In the backyard:
In the back yard there is a large swimming pool with plenty of room to lie around and soak up the sun. After your swim, relax on the patio and enjoy lunch on the gas grill.
Hacienda Azul is centrally located and is within walking distance to most amenities. The grocery store is just 2 blocks away, and the main plaza, where most of the island's shops and restaurants are located, is just 7 blocks down the street. It is not necessary to rent a car as there is a taxi dispatch stand half a block away. Most taxi rides within town are $2 -4 dollars each way. If you do decide to rent a car, there is secured parking for your vehicle at the home. Throughout the home you will find both ceiling fans and air conditioning in every room. Daily maid service is provided except for Sundays. Hacienda Azul is the perfect place for a romantic getaway, or a holiday with the kids!
