The cabin is located 3 Miles from the N.Y. state Thruway exit of Saugerties on 35 acres that border the Plattekill River on a private Road. The property is situated 3 miles from the village of Saugerties, 7 Miles from Woodstock and 30 Minutes from Hunter Mt and other ski areas like Windham and Belayre mountains. The property contains unlimited hiking and cross-country ski trails as well as one mile of river frontage for swimming, fishing, encountering wildlife and enjoying nature's beauty.

The cabin is located on 35 acres that border the Platte Kill River on a private Road. The property is situated 3 miles from the village of Saugerties exit 20 of the N.Y. state Thruway . 7 Miles from Woodstock and 30 Minutes from Hunter Mt and Windham ski areas. North and South Lake are near by to enjoy boating and swimming. The property contains unlimited hiking and cross-country ski trails -as well as one mile of river frontage with swimming wholes, fishing, lots of wildlife and nature's beauty.

My wife and I and our 2.5 year old child rented this property for 1 week and it was fantastic, just what we were looking for. The place was very clean and totally charming. Absolutely as described. We wanted a secluded location in the woods and the private swimming hole on a gorgeous stream was a bonus. The owners were very gracious and even let us pick in their organic garden. It was early in the season but still very nice. The local well water was very soft and left a luxurious smooth velvety feel to our skin. There was great hiking right on the property and tons to do in Woodstock and Saugerties. Lots of great restaurants within 15 min.....too many to list.
The only minus if we really had to point one out was our wish to have a larger and more professional kitchen but still it was far better than any Studio apt we ever stayed in. I would highly recommend this to any friend.

Peaceful with a few issues

The cabin is as pictured, and very beautiful and sweet. Spacious, relaxing, amazing stars at night. We mostly hung out but took a quick drive into Woodstock, with excellent restaurants, book stores, and health food store. I'm afraid the only thing that was a drawback was it was not cleaned properly when we got there - obvious dog hair all over the rug and the shower had used soap & shampoo bottles (they offered us $20 back). The water is safe to drink, but you wouldn't want to (sulfur?), so we had to buy bottled. We did love the cabin, though, and I would encourage you to check it out.
