We love the charm of Blowing Rock and the serene setting of the cabin which is nestled in the woods. The convience of the parkway just 1/4 mile away is an added plus
It is difficult to find such an incredible view and a superior cabin to boot!!
We were here the first week of December this year in 2014. This Cabin will "WOW" you in every way possible! From the moment you walk in you see custom woodworking on the stairs and ceilings. When you go into the rooms and bathrooms its only gets better! The taxidermy animals all round give you a true mountain getaway feel to bring out the inner hunter in you! The living room ceilings are huge and opens up the whole cabin to you! Just wait until you see the stairs, you'll find yourself taking pictures next to it! The view is stunning, specially on a clear day, so don't hesitate to bring your Binoculars. Boone and Blowing Rock are minutes away! We went to a happening new sushi bar in Boone Called CoBo, which I highly recommend. Wake up and drink coffee while there's deer all over the property! If your thinking of doing a mountain getaway with family and friends and want a "Dream Cabin" to stay in, just book this one and be done with it! Book with it with total confidence because our whole group was stunningly impressed with every square inch of this place! We are going again in the spring! Above all the owners are super nice and very easy to work with... you can tell they love their cabin just as much as you will and they want you to have that same feel! Cheers to this place! :)
Our first stay, and can't wait till next year. Our daughter and her husband live in Blowing Rock, so they were near by. I am in a wheelchair and the cabin was wonderful and easy to access. Plenty of room to move around on the main floor. Lots of room in the master bedroom and bath, large shower in master bath. I did lots cooking and there was plenty of room for my wheelchair in the kitchen. Deck was easy to access and we loved the view of Grandfather Mt. Grandchildren loved watching the deer run up the Mt. every afternoon. Melanie was great to deal with and easy to get in touch with. Would recommend for handicapped and large families.

This was my first stay in this amazing cabin. I was one of 12 in my group. We came to this lovely cabin for a women's retreat with my church. When we walked in the door we felt like we had won the jack pot! The pictures that we saw on the this website did not even come close to the what we saw when we walked in. There are so many details that go into making this cabin unique. Each corner of the house is decorated so tastefully and was a perfect back drop to a perfect weekend. Oh and I have to say that I loved the sheets. I know that sounds funny, but so often rentals have cheap linens but this is not one of those places. STAY HERE!
This is our second stay at this exquisite cabin. I just can't say enough about it. The location between Boone and Blowing Rock is wonderful. It's just close to everything!Hearing the train whistle from Tweetsie was an added bonus! We saw deer in the drive coming in, and saw them again crossing the path while looking out the kitchen window. Our whole party stood watching in awe. Absolutely beautiful. The bed slept so good that I have asked the owner for information regarding the mattresses! (I slept the whole night through every night, which I never do at home.) The pictures on VRBO do not do the cabin justice. It's just so beautiful and you'll notice attention to detail everywhere. It will take your breath away when you first walk in. The owners are so great to work with. Availability by phone and email, and prompt replies mean so much when you're planning a vacation. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to vacation in the Boone/Blowing Rock area, and it accommodates a large crowd easily due to its size and floor plan. Will definitely be staying here again!
This cabin is amazing! The view is incredible, the decor is perfect for the mountain setting, the beds are comfy and plentiful and the kitchen has everything you need to make a dinner for a large group. I cannot imagine having stayed in a better place. It is secluded but not too far off the beaten path - only a short drive to both Boone and Blowing Rock. The owners are great and it will be an experience I will never forget. I will definitely be coming back!
Spent the weekend here with my honey for a quick romantic getaway, and the only downfall of the trip and this property was that we could not stay longer. We both will forever be grateful for such a peaceful and relaxing experience. So much detail and perfection has been put into designing this property. We couldn't ask for anything better. Would highly recommend and will visit in the near future.
