Several beaches are available - there is the Delaware Seashore State Park in front of the home or the beaches at Fenwick Island and Bethany Beaches (both with lifeguards). Fenwick Island spans about 14 blocks and the stores and activities are a short drive from the home. The town hall has a good playground for children, a basketball half court, and a shuffleboard court and a picnic area. Bethany Beach is a quiet, family beach resort on the Atlantic Ocean in southern Delaware. it is an oasis for those seeking a small town, low stress beach vacation away from the commercialization of larger nearby resorts like the Jersey shore, Ocean City MD and Rehoboth Beach DE, while still providing excellent dining and entertainment options within a short drive.

Additional information about rental rates

  • No Rental Tax!! RENTAL WEEKS ARE SATURDAY TO SATURDAY during August
  • One half of rental rate is due upon making a reservation. All Payments must be Made prior to 30 Days Of Move-In.

    A damage/security deposit is $500 dollars. The damage/security deposit will be returned promptly within 14 days after the end of the rental.

    A lease contract is also required to be submitted with deposit.

    A non-refundable cleaning fee of $200 is required.

    Linens (towels and sheets) can be supplied for $185/wk.
  • Cancellation:

    If you cancel 30 days or more in advance there is a $200 cancellation fee. We will do our best to re-rent the property. If the property is re-rented there will be no additional fees due and your deposits will be refunded by the first day of your canceled rental period less the $200 cancellation fee. If we are unable to re-rent the property you will forfit your entire deposit.

    If you cancel 30 days or less all deposits are forfeited.

It also has a large deck and BBQ overlooking the bay. Relax with the adults in the large great room on top living level while the kids enjoy the second family room in the mid-level equipped with a HUGE 42” TV, Xbox, and DVD player! Going to the Beach and Other Details: : There is a semi-private beach is across the street from the home. This is a fantastically wide beach with very few people – access by foot is limited to the few homes in this area. Unlike the public beaches you can play Frisbee, fly kites and boogie board to your hearts desire. Looking for a lifeguard and just wishing to sun and splash in the water? There is also access to Fenwick Island state park beach up the road with plenty of parking. The park has lifeguard, showers, rest rooms, snack bar, and umbrella rentals. Day Trip about 20 minutes from the home: Rehoboth Beach, 5 minutes and you’re in Bethany Beach or Fenwick Island, 10 minutes and you reach Ocean City.

Bethany Beach is a great location for a family vacation, plenty to do with nice beaches. The house is big and nicely furnished with great bay views off the back deck.
This house is not on the beach, as you need to cross over
a pretty busy road. Another note is the beach is a state park that allows truck access (permit only). We had a great week and especially enjoyed sunsets on the back deck.

A One of a Kind Home

This home was truly the answer to my prayers...when my son announced he was being married in Rehoboth Beach we could not find a home for our family, the Rehearsal Dinner and that was available for a midweek rental. Even though the weekend weather didn't cooperate the dinner was a huge success...the house lends itself to entertaining. The views are unsurpassed... plenty of parking space, which is rare in a beach community, and the home was a wonderful respite the day after the wedding, for relaxing, bird watching and beach bumming. Thank you for sharing this lovely, one of a kind home. We look forward to staying here again when our days are less planned. The bride and groom said the Rehearsal Dinner was exactly as they had dreamed it would be!

A Gorgeous Home in a Gorgeous Location

The 2 living areas worked well with our family reunion – the kids were entertained for hours with the X-box and the large TV in the mid-level living room while the adults could relax and socialize in the upper living room. The only problem was the over-abundance of premium TV channels – we almost lost one of our ‘potatoes’ to the couch!

We all agreed that the views from all the decks and the windows is singular! There truly is no other property in this or the Maryland area that gives you both ocean and bay views and easy access to both.

Thanks for the use of the bikes, beach equipment and the kayak – all of us were able to indulge in playing until exhaustion.

We’ll be back next year.

Thank you for the wonderful stay. Your home is so beautiful! No wonder it was featured in 2 magazines.

The home & area has something for everyone. Some of our party took the kayak out back into the bay, some elected to play on the beach and some decided to watch everyone from the lounge chair on the deck while using your fantastic library.

The home was spotless and perfectly maintained and have already recommended it to friends. We like the idea of limiting the number of rentals each year to preserve the quality of the home - it's working!

We appreciated being met and having a tour of the home when we checked in - - you're right - - with a house that has so many features an orientation is mandatory. This is not an ordinary rental - it's truly a luxury home ment for a select few.

Thanks again - we'll see you next year!
