Lamplighter Details: The home was completed November 2006. It is in a new, upscale and private development. It is convenient to Historic Truckee Center, Donner Lake, and Rte 80, all within 2 miles. It overlooks Northstar, is across from a championship golf course, Coyote Moon. Owner has a pass for you to Tahoe-Donner facilities. It is within 15 minutes of major ski areas. The home is furnished with oriental carpets, Pottery Barn furniture, top of the line Simmons Beautyrest bedding. It has a stocked wine closet and a gourmet kitchen. The backyard has an extensive stone patio and rockwall, natural boulder with a seat, barbecue, and pine forest. It has a double, two-door garage and shop area with keypad entry for security.
Lamplighter Area: It is located in the high Sierras at an altitude of 6,000 ft, near Donner Pass, off of Rte 80, and within the historical town of Truckee. Wonderful mountain biking in warmer weather, and trout fishing, mountain biking (major ski areas and trails), horse back riding, hiking and boating and swimming (Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake). Historic Truckee has many original buildings, center of the railroad passage over the Sierras, Donner Party museum, many fine restaurants, classical western bars, and some of the finest mountain vistas. Reno is just a quick trip away, 35 miles on rte 80, where you can find gambling casinos, shows and the International Airport.
Ski: The major ski areas become Mountain Biking facilities with full use of the lifts and terrains (Squaw, Alpine, Northstar and Sugarbowl) all within 15 minutes.
Golf: Walk to Coyote Moon Champion Golf Course, bar and dining. Lamplighter looks across to the club house and course. The Tahoe-donner Championship Gof Course, clubhouse, dining and bar is 2 miles up Northwoods Blvd
