It's the prettiest and most peaceful vacation rental in our area. Many 5 star reviews best describe this log chalet rental during all 4 seasons! Nestled in the hills near the south end of the beautiful clean waters of Torch Lake we offer privacy, comfort, and relaxation!!
We are a day's outing to the most beautiful Sleeping Bear Dunes, or the Big Mac Bridge and Mackinac Island. Our main attraction is Torch Lake with it's pure, crystal clean waters and it's famously huge Sand Bar!!!
How long has it been since you counted the constellations on a clear, bright starry night? Or listened to the howls of coyotes or seen a family of wild turkey strolling by?
Isn't it time you and your loved ones escape out of the city lights and come up to our northern lights for an extended weekend or even for a week long break.
Our log chalet is cozy enough for honeymooners or couple retreats yet large enough for family and friends!
All year long, the Torch Lake/ Traverse City area is buzzing with events, festivals, concerts, restaurants, wineries, and shopping!
Our cabin is furnished with all the necessities inside including quality cookware, linens and towels! We also include fire wood to roast those marshmellows while watching the panoramic sunsets from our cedar swing!
If you aren't bringing a boat, you can rent our nice pontoon for the day for fishing, playing, or relaxing on the famous Torch Lake sandbar while taking advantage of our multiple day pontoon discounts.
On our property, there are many walking trails and places to sit to take in the views or engage in conversation with your friends. We have even provided a space just for sun bathing or book reading.

Thanks for letting us stay in your charming chalet! We had such a great time hiking seven bridges and sleeping bear dunes. We enjoyed visiting the nearby lakes- though still frozen. Sunset with hot tubs are always nice too! We hope to be back soon!!
My wife and I booked the cabin for my birthday/Valentines Day. We loved the cabin, it was very cozy inside with the fireplace as the temps dropped outside to -24 with 30mph winds. We spent most of the time in and out of the hot tub as it was way too cold to ride our snowmobiles that weekend, I tried a 2 min ride and it was unbearable but the hot tub was nice and toasty! The cabin has everything you need and is set upon a beautiful overlook making the scene in the winter a true wonderland. We did have some struggles making pancakes in the morning, there is in fact a well equipped full kitchen but they need a griddle:) The local area taverns are close as is a family dollar (griddle shopping) and a fully stocked grocery store is just down the road a bit. We ate dinner on Friday at the Alden Bar and was not impressed at all, the second night we stopped into the local tavern Kritters and the food was super and the décor wild! Take the trip up to Rapid City, very quiet and cozy getaway for 2.
Charming and secluded. Quarters were just a bit smaller in size than anticipated, but still adequate. Storage for personal items was somewhat lacking due to compact room sizes.
One bathroom with six people was challenging but not un-surmountable. We did some traveling while in the area so it met our needs nicely. The fire-pit was nice and also the hot tub.
A cute, seasoned cabin in a light country decor with clean beds, lots of towels and even better, lots of drying pegs in the laundry area. This was a great location, close to Torch Lake yet nicely secluded. We loved taking walks on the property to find the best views of the water and see the wild turkeys and other cool birds. The owners were so accommodating even when we called for help adjusting the hot tub as we had covered the instructions with our stuff when moving in =) Mike came right out and showed us how to use it, then gave us even more details about the property and surrounding area. We had 6 staying for a Mother's Day get-a-way long weekend to visit my neighboring Aunt, Uncle and Grandma, whom we had over for a bbq on the spacious deck on a sunny warm afternoon seating all 10 of us at the picnic table and patio table and chairs. If we are back in the area, we will most definitely stay here again.
Second time staying at the Chalet on the hill. Incredible views and privacy all on 100 acres. Very much enjoyed the addition of the new hot tub. The Chalet is perfect for our group, comfortable beds, immaculately clean, great kitchen and grill to cook your own food. Highly recommend if you're looking for rest and relaxation.
The place was clean and comfortable with a wonderful view. Very secluded setting and a nice hot tub on the deck overlooking it all.

Centered in the middle of Northwest Michigan skiing, ice-fishing, snowmobiling and hunting this cozy log chalet is perfectly ready for 1-9 people including all bed and bath linens, a well-equipped kitchen, and plenty of stars constellations at night from the large deck. Just cuddle up in a blanket around a campfire on the cedar swing and catch up on conversations while being isolated from life's busy distractions.
We would love to have you experience PURE Michigan views from our neck of the woods.
God bless your vacation!
