Thanks for letting us stay in your charming chalet! We had such a great time hiking seven bridges and sleeping bear dunes. We enjoyed visiting the nearby lakes- though still frozen. Sunset with hot tubs are always nice too! We hope to be back soon!!

Rental 185747 Chalet at Rapid City, MI

  • 4 of 5
Charming and secluded. Quarters were just a bit smaller in size than anticipated, but still adequate. Storage for personal items was somewhat lacking due to compact room sizes.
One bathroom with six people was challenging but not un-surmountable. We did some traveling while in the area so it met our needs nicely. The fire-pit was nice and also the hot tub.

Owner's Response: For most of our travelers, our 4-5 foot closets with shelving, hanging, and floor space is more than adequate for a 1or 2 week stay. The benches and chair in each of the bedrooms provide space for suitcases and sitting. From the chalet's side entry, there are 36 wooden wall pegs stetching across the length of the laundry room to hang jackets, put ski equipments, snowgear, and clothes after taken from the dryer.
The large firepit has 7 metal chairs plus a cedar swing that beholds panoramic sunset views of Lake Skegemog, which connects to Torch Lake.
Star constellations as well as the expansive sunset views are all taken in from the hot tub on a deck extension from our already large shaded deck which holds our grill and quality outdoor dining set with 6 chairs.
Depending if you are moving in or staying for a week or two will determine if this secluded setting over looking miles of tree tops and water views is right for you. Have a great day!

Great Stay for Weekend in May

  • 4 of 5
A cute, seasoned cabin in a light country decor with clean beds, lots of towels and even better, lots of drying pegs in the laundry area. This was a great location, close to Torch Lake yet nicely secluded. We loved taking walks on the property to find the best views of the water and see the wild turkeys and other cool birds. The owners were so accommodating even when we called for help adjusting the hot tub as we had covered the instructions with our stuff when moving in =) Mike came right out and showed us how to use it, then gave us even more details about the property and surrounding area. We had 6 staying for a Mother's Day get-a-way long weekend to visit my neighboring Aunt, Uncle and Grandma, whom we had over for a bbq on the spacious deck on a sunny warm afternoon seating all 10 of us at the picnic table and patio table and chairs. If we are back in the area, we will most definitely stay here again.

Love this place.

Second time staying at the Chalet on the hill. Incredible views and privacy all on 100 acres. Very much enjoyed the addition of the new hot tub. The Chalet is perfect for our group, comfortable beds, immaculately clean, great kitchen and grill to cook your own food. Highly recommend if you're looking for rest and relaxation.

The most beautiful Up-North Experience you will ever find

  • 5 of 5
We went there for the Fourth of July week, which is a very big party week on the sand bar on Torch Lake, and we had the best time staying at the Chalet we have ever had (and we've been to Torch Lake the past 5 years for the 4th week). The chalet, property and views are un-believable and you get that true, up north secluded feel. Dale was very understanding, east to talk to and all around pleasant person to deal with. The boat slip she made available to us made it very easy to get on Torch Lake everyday. It is the perfect up-north vacation rental and I would highly recommend it to families or a group of friends.
