The home is located on a short, sandy, dead-end road, (no traffic) 1/2 mile from Skaket Beach. The Cape Cod bike path is only 3/10 of a mile from the property with the Town Center not much further. Nauset Beach is an easy 10 min. drive across town. Ice cream and village shops are in close proximity as well as live theatre, Cape Cod baseball, tennis and golf.

Great house for large family

This is a very open living area was great for our 12 adults and 2 children. We had the cottage and everyone had a bedroom which was great. The only negative thing was the ice maker did not work. The yard was wonderful for games and our two year old granddaughter to run around in. The beach was very crowded when we were there. The house was a very good central location for sight seeing on the Cap. Everyone had a wonderful time and would come back again in the future.

The Perfect Family Vacation House

My family rented this house along with our in-laws. Altogether, we had 3 seperate families; one with small children, one with 2 babies. The house is absolutely beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice. We felt as if we were the first people ever to stay in this house. The kitchen is a chef's dream. The living room is spacious, with plenty of room for the little ones to run around. The backyard is quiet and secluded and the ping-pong table in the garage is a nice feature. We brought several bikes with us and they were easily stored in the garage. The house is very close to the rail trail and to Skaket beach.

A note for families with children: Skaket Beach is the nicest family beach I've ever seen. It's on the bay side so the water is calm and not too cold. It also has a wide flat tidal area, and stays shallow a very long way out from shore. My 3 adn 5 year old kids loved this beach, and we usually left the car home and rode bikes to the beach.

The house is very close to the bike path and to Rte. 6, making day trips either up or down-cape very easy. There are lots of good restaurants nearby in Orleans and Eastham. There's also a Shaw's and a CVS within a mile of the house.

We rented, but didn't end up using the cottage. It's very nice, with a BR, LR, and a small kitchen. Perfect for a couple or single.

When we start planning next year's vacation, this house will be on top of our list.
