Cottage on Lake Christopher
My husband and I vacationed at the cottage the week of July 25th-August 1, 2009. We had a wonderful relaxing stay except for the train that goes right by the back of the property at 12 minight and back again around 4 a.m. It was scary and eery at first night but we got used to it. The cottage has alot of wonderful personal touches. It was beautifully kept up and very clean. We especially enjoyed the enclosed porch on the rainy days, and the beautiful deck overlooking the lake. With so much rain this summer there is no longer a shallow beach area but still refreshing to wade in. We saw two very large snapper turtles close to the dock as well as near the shore in the cove area. The lake is so calm and peacful in the early a.m. and we heard and saw lots of loons on the lake. The loon calls are beautiful at night. We didn't catch any fish in this lake but enjoyed fishing and the canoe. Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed this beauiful cottage.
