Sit on one of the two covered porches and view Door County across the Bay or the boats at the marina. Take the canoe up the nearby Cedar River or dock your boat at the Marina. Enjoy fishing on the bay with a charter boat or Cedar River for the best of both worlds of fishing. J. W. Really nice vacation place

This cottage is really great. Comfortable, well stocked, lovely location, I can't think of anything else we could have asked for. The kitchen has everything you need to make your meals and it was great to have the washer & dryer available. The owners were great to work with and very welcoming. It is a little isolated so if you are looking for lots of things to do nearby this might not be the place for you. If, however, you are looking for rest and relaxation this is a perfect spot. The beach isn't so great for swimming but the state park is really close. I would go back in a second.

RELAXING TIME!!!

The cottage is awesome and has everything you need. The only thing we couldn't find was a blender. The beds are very comfortable. The views are AMAZING!! What a very relaxing enjoyable time. The only draw back is the lack of "beach" area and the path to the lake. There was a kind of sand area but it was very mucky and we sunk down to our knees in it. We went through the grass and had a much easier time getting in the lake. The grass area was very swampy and full of thistles so you need to wear water shoes. A path to the water would be AWESOME. We laid down some old pieces of plywood to make our walk out easier. I would still rate the place as excellent!! Even though the water is crystal clear it was a little rocky but we loved it!! You can walk for about 200 yards and it never gets deeper than 2-2 1/2 feet. I didn't want to come back home it was that relaxing! We had a great time reconnecting with our kids before they both head out to college this fall. Even without air conditioning the cottage remained cool with the lake breezes.....we selpt with covers on.....weather was 70-80 during the day and 50-60's at night.....terrific....beautiful place!!! You won't be disappointed!!

Cedar River cottage

We absolutely loved this cottage...it has a fantastic view of the lake from the large porch and the patio. Our dog loved the big yard and watching all the different kinds of birds. The property is very clean and well-maintained both inside and out, and the owners are friendly and helpful in setting up your reservation and making sure that you have everything you need once you've arrived. Wonderful sunsets/sunrises and plenty of stars at night. We really enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace and the canoe. Cedar River is a very relaxing, quiet and peaceful area. If you are looking to get away from the big city, this is a great place to go. Highly recommended...we will definitely be back!
