This hotel alternative sleeps a total of 12 people. This spacious, fully furnished 3 BR is your home away from home. Located 2.5 blocks from the Metro subway train station that puts you steps away from the Smithsonian Museums, National Mall, Convention Center, White House, Greyhound, Amtrak, Union Station, Ronald Regan National Airport, grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, and many other Washington sites! Updated historic DC Brownstone. Fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, ceiling fan in bedrooms, exposed brick, fireplace in living & dining room, cable, television, wireless internet, window AC units & radiant heat. Rental stocked with pots, pans, silverware, dishes, coffee maker, iron & board, towels, & bed linens. There are two full bathrooms; One has a jacuzzi tub & the other features a stand-up shower. Two bedrooms have a queen size bed & television. The third bedroom has a king size bed. In addition, there are 2 full-sized & 1 queen-sized sleeper sofas.

Reservations: After we receive your availability request, we will promptly reply with booking instructions. All reservations are taken on a first come first serve basis.

Payment: : An advance payment equal to 50% of the rental rate. The advance payment will be applied toward the room rent. Please make payments in the form of traveler's checks, bank money orders, cashiers checks or personal checks. All reservations require a copy of a state-issued ID. The advance payment is not a damage deposit. The balance of rent is due fourteen (14) days before your arrival date. A damage deposit of $300 is due 14 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation: : A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit.

Fabulous DC Brownstone

Overall an outstanding experience renting and staying in this DC Brownstone.

The unit was very clean, well stocked, comfortable and as described on the Home Away website. The location was very close by cab or public transportation to downtown Washington DC and all of the sites.

The owner provided superior customer service which helped in our pre-trip planning efforts. I would recommend this property to both friends and family and would not hesitate staying at this property in the future.

Very enjoyable family experience

Place looks just like the pictures. Well maintained with the brownstone appeal. Close proximity to subway train - enjoyed the walk each day. Downtown annemity brought forth sirens, which are well expected in any city.

Owner gave great assistance with pre-planning with regards to travel from airport and around town, especially with two infants and strollers. Also provided great information for grocery delivery.

Totally enjoyed Halloween Trick-or-Treat with the neighbors. Thank you for a great vacation experience.

Not clean

I would not recommend staying at this property. First, it was not clean. There were roaches and ants. There was dog poop all over the back deck from the downstairs tenant's dog that barked all night. Cobwebs in the dining room, dust on the mantels did not make the place homey. When asked for the cleaning fee to be refunded, I was denied it. Second, it is a much further walk to the subway than it is looks. Lastly, the sirens kept us awake all night (along with the dog)
Owner's Response: We hire professionals to thoroughly clean and exterminate the property and they will gladly rectify guests complaints made prior to their departure.

Lovely big house

We really enjoyed this house. It was spacious, clean, and came with towels, bedding, coffee&tea, kitchen supplies, TVs, & an exercise machine. It's a few blocks from the Metro.
