Our chalet features pine floors, a newly renovated kitchen with stainless appliances / dishwasher, granite countertops, Franke sink, Parma faucet and breakfast bar, new full bath, large living room with high ceiling and exposed beams, deck overlooking water, fireplace, two bedrooms with queen beds and a large loft with 2 twin beds, all new beds and mattresses.     Weekly / Weekend Winter rental: 9% state tax will also be applied as well as a standard cleaning fee of $75. Weekend rates of $400 are for two nights on non-holiday weekends. Holiday weekends such as Martin Luther King Day, Columbus day, Easter and Memorial Day are $550 for three nights. Rates for a weekly rental are also for non-holidays. Our fireplace is currently non-usable this Winter season due to the screened-in porch addition we made this past summer. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to have it fixed for use during the 2010 Winter season.

  • We have completely renovated our bathroom with a new toilet and sink as well as new wide pine flooring and re-enameled tub and tile surround in sparkling white, new lighting and hardware. The bathroom has a window to the outside and sufficient amount of light. We also have an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. We have a brand new 12X32 screened-in porch which extends our deck. Our fireplace is currently not for use during all rental seasons.

  • The chalet is an open post & beam concept. The downstairs features two bedrooms each with new queen beds, dresser, closet and windows overlooking our flower gardens and small views of the lake. One bedroom has a door to outside (our preferred entrance is through the deck). The loft upstairs is our favorite room in the house, containing two twin beds with a desk and chairs for lounging as well as a beautiful view of the lake. We have a nice book shelf upstairs that contains several well known authors as well as games for both children and adults - many time we find ourselves playing scrabble until the morning (we have a large dictionary for questionable words!) and connect-4 is also a favorite. All rooms feature new Adirondack style log beds with new mattresses. All linens will be provided, sheets are 200+ thread count, and we ask you put them in the washer before you leave so the cleaner can prepare for our next guests. We provide bath towels but please bring beach towels.

Notes: Our kitchen is also newly renovated and we decided to add luxuries that are not typical for a lake chalet. As mentioned earlier, we have granite countertops, new stainless appliances and plenty of cooking utensils. Our breakfast bar has 3 stools for casual dining. We have a dining area that can seat 4 comfortably for a nice candlelight meal. We also recommend using our dining table on the deck to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Our living area features a comfortable large couch with a reclining chair and some bean bags. We have an entertainment center with surround sound speakers. Our property is secluded from other homes offering lots of privacy. We have trees on both sides of the house down to the water and our shore front property is cleared with private swimming. There are 2 granite rock steps to the water and a sandy start for swimming - we recommend swimming to the rock across the lake. We have a small dock/mooring to tie a canoe or small sailboat.

About Camp Beech: Camp Beech, our waterfront chalet is a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. This is our vacation house. A neighbor best described the experience by saying 'time moves slowly on Lower Beach Pond'. The lake is very quiet, filled with wildlife (rainbow trout, brown trout, large mouth bass for fishing and loons for watching). We even saw a moose swimming last year! Our home is great for relaxation, reading a book on the deck, lying in the sun or hammock, water sports or visiting North Conway's outlets for some retail therapy (35 mins away) and the town of Wolfeboro for fine dining or shopping (10 mins away). In addition to our shoreline property, there are 2 Hidden Valley Association beaches you will have access to which are great for family days, building sand castles and swimming, both are a few minutes walking distance. Bring your racket because there are tennis courts in the association. We hope you enjoy your stay and go home very relaxed!

About Lower Beach Pond: Our chalet is located in a small, private community in Tuftonboro NH called Hidden Valley Association. Our vacation home is located on Lower Beach Pond which is a small Oligotrophic lake with a sandy bottom. Wikipedia defines these lakes 'to have low algal production and often have very clear waters, with high drinking-water quality.' There is a maximum of 10 horsepower boats on the lake (or 'putt putt') and canoes, sailing or paddling on surfboards is our preferred method of water transportation. Swimming across the lake is also a fantastic way to start your day! We have a large floating cedar raft roughly 35-40ft from shore for relaxing and lying in the sun. Another attraction is Camp William Lawrence, a boys camp that my husband attended, see their website below. If the wind is just right, you can barely make out revelry at 7:30 AM signaling the beginning of another wonderful day for the campers and for you at Camp Beech!

Loved this place!

We brought our family up to this chalet this past summer. We had such a wonderful time. The property was clean and well taken care of. It's obvious how much work the owners of this property have put into it. We ate lunch and dinner every night out on the screened in porch. Walked to the beach every day and my husband and children were able to fish and splash in the water right in front of the home. My husband also brought the canoe. He fishes for large and small mouth bass, and although they were on the small size, he enjoyed the peace and quiet of this lake. We went into Wolfeboro frequently and spent the day at Storyland which was just about an hour or so away. We' are very glad to be heading back this summer. It's a great place to "get away" yet have civilization close by. This is especially important with two small children. My daughter needed a prescription while we were there and the pharmacy was only 15 minutes away. The hospital is close by too. The owners of the property were just amazing. Very accomodating and helpful! We are counting down the days until we head back!!

Beautiful home on a beautiful lake

This is an elegant, cozy, just renovated wood cabin (chalet!) with a full view of the lake that is just a few steps away. We stayed here as a group of friends celebrating the New Year and enjoying nature, and it was an amazing home for our vacation. The owners are prompt, welcoming, and extremely considerate - we called them several days before our trip after our previous reservation was cancelled and they agreed to make a very last minute all-day effort to clean and get the house ready for us. It was a comfortable and luxurious experience by the frozen lake, snow-frosted trees, and under sparkling stars. For a winter trip, it was perhaps a bit too secluded in that the last 10 minutes of roads to the house are bumpy and snowy, even though the area does get plowed (the house is part of a community all around the lake). Also Wolfeboro (a quaint, cool town) was more of a 20 minute than 10 minute drive in the snowy weather. Another small downside was that there was only one bathroom for our relatively large group, but we knew to expect that! We would all recommend this house for a beautiful, calm, fun stay for any nature vacation for a family or friends.

Perfect place to relax and get away...

If you are looking to get away from all the noise and conjestion, this is a great place to take a breath and enjoy life again...My wife and 2 kids stayed here and had a wonderful time, it is very clean, fully updated and has an incredible view of the lake from sunrise to sundown! The property is completely private without any houses to see from any side of the property..The owners provided many little touches of their own for our stay, you can tell how much they take care of this place...They are also easily accessible during your stay if you need some pointers on where to go or what to do...

I would highly recommend this chalet to anyone looking for some peace and quiet whether you have children or are a couple looking for a place to get away for the week...If you want more to do other than just relax on the deck, their are 2 beaches within walking distance of the house, and a small marina great for fishing...Their are also many other things to do as far as shopping or sightseeing very close by on Lake Winnipesauke...Wolfeboro is a nice little walking and shopping town about 10 minutes away...

The pictures on the site don't do this gem justice, they just added an enormous screened in porch which was just awesome on a quiet evening listening to the loons and an outdoor shower for after the beach...

I would recommend this place to anyone!

Very nicely renovated cozy camp on clean lake

We enjoyed staying at this cottage with its large deck and screened in porch. The lake is clear - not much of a beach right there but a few rocks to step on to enter water. You can also use the association beach which has more sand. There is a float to swim out to which is fun. We brought our own canoe to use. The camp is recently renovated, very clean, well-equipped. I found the owners to be helpful and prompt in returning calls and emails. Closest restaurants are in Wolfeboro which is a fun town to walk around in. We also went to Ossipee and up to North Conway. I would recommend this property for a couple or family looking for a quiet lakeside cottage. We did not hike but camp is close to hiking opportunities also.
