Cedar Moon Beach House offers a spectacular oceanfront vacation retreat for weekly holidays on Cortes Island, British Columbia, Canada. Including a stunning 180-degree waterviews toward the magical mountains that tower over distant islands. Cedar Moon is located in Desolation Sound, the world famous boating destination for yachting & kayaking. The house is backed by forest and stands 400 feet of secluded beach covered with seashells, plus offers 12-acres of quiet forest with trails from your doorstep, complimentary canoe to explore the coastline.

During the winter of 2014 we are renovating Cedar Moon Beach House with a luxurious new gourmet kitchen, two completely updated bathrooms with designer fixtures, and beautiful furnishings throughout our spacious living and sleeping rooms. Additional features, including skylights, creative lighting, a fresh look with new paint and other lovely design features. Book your 2015 summer holidays early and enjoy these gorgeous improvements.

Cedar Moon is a spacious home, an open post and beam design, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows facing the ocean, French doors open to waterfront sundecks off the living room, dining room, and master bedroom.

Other highlights include a wood burning fireplace, deluxe en-suite with deep soaker tub, a sleeping loft that children love, a private den for writers, an antique upright piano for the musically inspired, and a large Games Room with fun for the whole family.

In the 4 private bedrooms you will find luxuriously soft Egyptian Cotton linens, down-filled designer duvets, and feather pillows for your comfort. The house is fully equipped with linens & dishes to accommodate between 2-8 persons. A Very Special Place

We stayed at Cedar Moon for a small family reunion and it was very memorable, and Philip and Sandra made us feel very welcome. Most of the party arrived by car but a couple of us flew up on Corilair from Vancouver which was a very glamorous way to arrive. I loved the way the house was built , in that you walked up the stairs to the most stupendous view anywhere, ever. Its incredible. Added touches like the fresh garden veggies were much appreciated. I highly recommend Cedar Moon and would happily stay there again.

Sitting on a log on the beach watching the sun rise above Desolation Sound surrounded by silence so deep you can hear a bird's wings flapping as it flies along the shore - such an experience is priceless and wonderfully restorative for city dwellers like us. When you step outside it seems that you gaze not only on your own piece of shoreline but on your very own ecosystem! The tranquility and beauty of Cedar Moon, and the sense of being far from the madness of consumer culture, make a visit here a precious gift for the soul and spirit. The vast, exquisite natural surroundings and lovely interiors of both house and cottage are matched only by Philip and Sandra's gift for hospitality and the way in which they have made their whole property into an ongoing work of art with its trails, oyster shell designs and subtle illuminations. We always anticipate a return to this land with huge delight and enthusiasm. It's one of the magic spots on the face of the earth, and it's owned by two of the most warm and gracious people you'll ever meet anywhere.
