Luxurious 700 sq.ft newly furnished apartment in the heart of downtown Montreal. Walkable distance to all major attractions.

Private entrance, hardwood floors, ensuite bathroom, heated floor, cozy private garden with Hot Tub (Jacuzzi closed in winter), private laundry facilities, contemporary design in 1880 Victorian house, stone/brick walls, candle fireplace.

We also provide bicycles to ride the 26 km bike path on canal Lachine, and Old Montreal.

About Alain

couple in mid-forty's, both designers, 7 years in vacation rental business. We pride ourselves in covering every detail to make your stay memorable. It is very important to us that our property meets your expectations.

Alain purchased this apartment in 1991
Why Alain chose Montreal

Our first home that we bought just before our 1st child was born 5 months later. An old victorian house (1885) in which we invest time/money over the years to make it our family retreat. Typical row house of Montreal with gray stone facade, flat roof with a 'mansarde', over 125 years, we are the 4th owner respecting and loving this property so much!

What makes this apartment unique

Close to the Atwater market (15 min. walk), convenient gourmet store just around the corner, and plenty of very good restaurants close by. Owners on site to help with last minute inquiries.

Tres bon rapport qualite prix pour ce petit appartement bien arrange, la chambre + SDB est tres agreable. Le quartier est ideal, des bons restaurants a 5 minutes a pied, le vieux montreal est a 10 -15 minutes de marche, la rue sainte catherine a 10 minutes et le metre est a 3 minutes. Le proprietaire est tres sympa.
Ili faut juste savoir qu'il y a seulement un grand lit, les autres couchages sont sur des matelas, tres confortables cependant.

Cozy perfect location

Our stay at this suite was perfect after Christmas. We were snowed in but Alain was very kind removing all the snow so we could get out. He also reserved us a parking spot on the road which was nice not to pay extra for parking. Everything was super clean, bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen is fully stocked. The location is extremely quite since it's on a one way street. We were able to walk to everything from the grocery store, Old Montreal, and do night life with out worrying about taxis. If we come back to Montreal, we would look into staying at this place again. It is definitely worth staying here instead of a hotel room. To top it off Alain was a very friendly person and made our stay that more enjoyable, thanks Alain!

Comfort, Care and Ideal Accomodations

Our mission was to drop our son off to college and spend a few nights in Montreal. We didn't want an impersonal hotel and we opted for this apartment. The pictures did not due justice to the place which was in impecabble shape thanks to Alain's handywork and his wife's eye for design. The weather was amenable so we made good use of the garden and bbq.We were a short walk to the métro which allowed easy access to all part of the city and there was convenient shopping nearby but free access to the the two bikes was what transformed our trip from being tourists to locals. Combined with Alain's kindness and advice on all aspects of his city somehow made leaving our son to his city just a little bit easier. We would highly recommend this quaint apartment to anyone planning to make the most of their Montreal stay!

This place was great. Perfect location, in a residential neighborhood but just a block or two from the downtown. Everything was within walking distance - Old City, the Mountain, St Denis street, etc. Tons of amenities in the apartment - heated bathroom floors, lots of room temperature control, very true to the photos. Owner was great - greeted us with the keys, showed us where to park (very easy), had a ton of maps displayed in the apartment and had many suggestions of where to go and what to see. Use the bikes he has, great way to see the city. The subway was only a block away, very easy to use. Grocery store only a few blocks away too!

Lovely apartment! Great location!

Thanks Alain for a lovely stay. This was our first experience with Home Away and was extremely pleased. The home was situated in a quiet, safe neighborhood within short walking distance to metro, restaurants, and local Atwater Market (a must see). The apartment was perfect for our needs and was well equipped with anything one might need while away from home. Everything was in excellent working condition, clean, comfortable and our host, Alain was helpful and knowledgeable about where to go and what to do in the city. The hot tub is another benefit, but unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate with us.
Our only regret is that we were unable to stay longer!! We would definitely return to this lovely apartment and recommend it to others.
Thanks again Alain. We hope to see you again soon.
