Okaloosa Island Vacation Rental condo

My family and I stayed at Waterscape in unit A513 from Sept. 19-26 2009. The unit was exactly as described. It is beautifully decorated with everything a family would need on their vacation. My boys loved the bunk room and all 3 actually slept in there rather than using the second bedroom. From this unit you have a beautiful view of the beach and Okaloosa Fishing Pier, however, since there is no building to the left of Waterscape you also have a city view. It is pretty at night but you have a little car noise as well as ocean noise.
The pool area is amazing, my boys ages 6 & 8 loved jumping across the lily pads and relaxing in the lazy river. My 3 year old loved the water slide area on the upper level.
It is very common to see dolphins playing in the Gulf just out from the beach area. I saw them every morning around 7 when I went running. You can also watch dolphins come right near the fishing pier.
There is a Fudpuckers Restaurant directly across the street from Waterscape, decent food, fun atmosphere. And a Waffle House and surf Shop to the left of the condo. You can walk to any of these. The location of Waterscape on Okaloosa Island is great, we felt like we were far away from all of the action in Destin yet we were just minutes away if/when we wanted to go out and about. We went over to Destin Harbor, fun area, for a dolphin cruise on the Sea Blaster. Capt. Larry was fun, entertaining and found many, many dolphins for us to enjoy. They come right up to the boat and since the boat is lower to the water you are truly right next to them. We had the perfect family vacation and hope to stay for 2 full weeks next September.
