There's also bobsled rides, ice skating on the Olympic Oval, snowmobiling, dog sled rides, and the toboggan chute on Mirror Lake in Lake Placid. If you have little ones with you, they may enjoy a visit to Santa's Workshop - just 5 minutes away. Or you may prefer staying inside, and enjoying some quiet time by the fireplace. The Cottage comes equipped with plenty of books and games for all ages, as well as a selection of DVDs to keep you entertained.
SPRING and SUMMER AT THE COTTAGE: The AuSable River — just minutes from the Cottage — is well-known for its fly-fishing in the Springtime! Hiking trailheads can be found as close as a quarter mile from the Cottage. Take a ferry ride across Lake Champlain over to Vermont for the day, or drive 90 minutes north to visit Montreal. So much to do, and so little time! And at the end of the day, return to the Cottage for a BBQ, and some relaxing bug-free hours on the screen porch.
AUTUMN AT THE COTTAGE: The Adirondacks come alive in Autumn, as the leaves turn from green to bright hues of yellow, red, and fiery orange!
