Beautiful home, beautiful setting

We came to Charleston for a wedding and added a vacation. This home was perfect for that family vacation. We came with high expectations which were all met and exceeded. It is a beautifully maintained home in a beautiful setting.
The dining room and living room are very open with great views of the lagoon and surrounding foliage.
Dining area easily accommodated our group for dinner together and for games in the evening. Dinner together of course met some time in the fully stocked kitchen. We have several in the family who enjoy cooking and we found the kitchen to be well supplied with everything we needed for cooking and then for serving. A couple of days included grilling on the deck--another nice feature.
All the bedrooms are large with king size beds in 3 bedrooms and twins in one, really ideal for our grown children and spouses. In additions each bedroom has a full size bathroom providing added privacy.
The house was supplied with numerous items such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, tissues, dinner napkins, laundry detergent, etc.--things I would have expected to buy. We were very pleasantly surprised to find so many amenities supplied by the owner.
The large screened porch was the best of all worlds--outside minus bugs. I especially enjoyed morning coffee and the nature sounds on the porch. The deck off of the screened porch provided a nice area for the grandkids and their water guns.
The beach is a 5 minute walk. Again the owner provided numerous extras, beach chairs, thick colorful beach towels, a cooler. Kiawah Island does have one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Other outdoor items available at the home were bicycles and since there are several walking and biking paths on the Island, it was another welcome plus.
Our group likes to remain connected even on vacations. We had several laptops and we did appreciate the reliable wifi at the house.
My husband and I were the main occupants during our 10 day rental but our 6 grown children, 4 spouses and 3 grandchildren joined us for various lengths of stays. They were all very impressed with our selection of this home--it is especially nice to be able to impress one's grown children!
