Beautiful place, wrong season

The location is stunning, especially if you like to hike in beautiful farm country with snowy high peaks as a backdrop. We, unfortunately, were there during this very cold 2013 March, so were cold much of the time, even in the apartment. The water boiler that supplied heat and hot water was inadequate, even though we paid an extra 7 Euros/night in propane charges. Since the gas stove/oven was not vented, additional outside cold air was required for ventilation, while cooking. In warmer weather we would have appreciated the place much more.
Owner's Response: We were sorry to hear that our guests were cold in the apartment - we were surprised at this as we have had many winter guests over the last 9 years and this is the first time that we have had a complaint of this nature. The boiler is full size and is serviced and checked every year and there are plenty of radiators in each room. We are wondering if they didn't have the all of the radiators switched on or if they didn't turn the thermostat up to a high enough temperature? We had a couple in this apartment in a very cold January who heated the apartment to about 25 degrees while they were there and were very comfortable. We also didn't understand the comment about the cooker 'not being vented' - cookers in Europe are not vented to the outside and don't require outside ventilation while they are being used, so opening a window while cooking is not required. Thirdly, we would just like to say that we only charge for gas used for central heating in the winter months at cost - we just charge for the amount that guests use (metered) and we don't add anything to this price - this is the price that we pay for the gas ourselves. We also wish that our guests had contacted us while they were at Villa Collecimino and told us that they were cold and we could have asked our keyholders to check that everything was working properly and done our utmost to make sure that they were comfortable.
