Food and Drink at Le Bignon/Vine House:
All guests staying at Le Bignon and Vine House are welcome to take breakfast and/or dinner as required.
A Breakfast Buffet (24 hours notice please) is available at 9am each morning at 9 euros per person. In addition to freshly squeezed fruit juice, filter coffee, hot chocolate or a selection of Twinings teas you can enjoy a buffet of cereals, cold meat, cheeses, smoked salmon, yogurt and fresh fruit with breads, croissants, local honey and home made jams and jellies, such as quince, redcurrant and orange, damson and mulberry.
Dinner is served in the dining room or on the terrace at 8.00pm and is 25 euros per person.
A Typical Dinner Menu: Tomato & Basil Tartlet; Pan Roasted Breast of Free Range Duck with Damson Sauce OR Charlotte of Chargrilled Garden Aubergines with Ratatouille & Goats Cheese Filling; Selection of Cheeses with walnuts from the garden; Something Disgracefully Chocolatey! Coffee. The wine list includes Anjou, Saumur & Muscadet and there is an Honesty Bar.
Chambres d'Hote:
In the Manor House, our three fabulous rooms are light and bright with a low key elegance. All all are based around classic Toile de Jouy, but each has its own feel and personality! The Black Room & the Red Room can be arranged as either twin or super king rooms and the Blue Room is a king size. The top quality beds are dressed with Egyptian cotton bed linen and all rooms offer stylish furnishings, ample storage and iPod docking station. Tea, coffee & biscuits are provided plus a mini fridge and somewhere cosy to sit and enjoy a quiet drink. En suite shower rooms offer thermostatically controlled showers, Egyptian cotton towels and bathrobes and La Compagnie de Provence toiletries. On the Ground Floor, the cosy Guests Sitting Room has books, games and magazines as well as an Honesty Bar. Aperitifs and after dinner coffee are served here in the evenings. Dinner (25 euros pp is served in the elegant Dining Room or on the Terrace. Chambre d'hote from 60 euros per room per night.
