Hodgepodge Lodge on Lake Chatuge, Hayesville NC
Review Submitted: January 14, 2009

Our family of 6 adults and 6 children enjoyed Thanksgiving (2008) week in the home. There was nothing you could need or want that wasn't available. It is spacious and extremly 'user friendly'. We were able to prepare the full traditional turkey dinner with more than one cook in the kitchen. There was cookware and dinnerware for every need. The dining area in the sunroom is large enough to seat everyone together with room to spare.
The kids explored the hills and forest around us, played games in the bonus area downstairs and the 4 boys loved having the downstairs bedroom and bath to themselves. The two teen girls claimed the 'bed/den' area of the sunroom as their territory and peace reigned.
Some of the men and a lady enjoyed hiking in the area. The 'elders' and the pregnant lady enjoyed the quite and relaxation, which occured when the others were out doing the active things. The lake and it's amenities were available although we did not take advantage of that... but the view we soaked up thoroughly. Friday, following T'giving, we all enjoyed exploring and shopping in the quaint, picturesque town of Hayesville.
We made precious memories and this home contributed greatly to our being able to do this. The owner was just a call away should we encounter any problems, which we did not. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a little piece of heaven where family and/or friends can reconnect and strenghten relationships.
