Twin Maples Cottage is a spacious and comfortable *pet friendly* vacation cottage in Colonial Beach, close to town and the beach and boardwalk. There are two large screened in porches, and a fenced-in yard for your dogs or kids to run around in. Colonial Beach is located at the tip of the Northern Neck, on the Potomac River. This beach town is a year-round hot spot with it's casino, upscale restaurants, and many events on and around the town green. Colonial Beach is a golf cart community on the Potomac River. It is surrounded by an area rich in our country's history. Antique shops, great restaurants, coffee shops, wineries, a casino, state parks, and historical sites are all within either walking distance or a short driving distance from the cottage.

Colonial Beach has been a destination for tourists along the Mid-Atlantic Coast for over 50 years. It is “THE Town on the Potomac.” On the Town Commons, fantastic events are held throughout the year. A new and beautiful stage is used for evening concerts, outdoor family movie nights and weekend events. A restaurant, with its paddle wheel architecture, along with other local attractions is drawing patrons from all over the Mid-Atlantic Coast. Colonial Beach is a Golf Cart Community. The carts are “dressed up” and seen everywhere. Located in the northern part of the area known as the Northern Neck of the Virginia, this historical area brings you the fine distinctions of Stratford Hall; The birthplace of George Washington; James Monroe’s Birthplace. Swimmers and sunbathers enjoy the second longest public beach in Virginia. The rebuilt Municipal Pier marks the south end of the Boardwalk, and caters to fishermen as it runs 500 feet into the river.

Lisa and Gus,

You made our first visit to Colonial Beach a great one. Your cottage was very comfortable and had all the amenities of home, in fact it was the best stocked house we have ever rented anywhere. The laundry facilities and the high speed internet access were a great addition. It fit right in to a friendly town like Colonial Beach and I am sure we will be back soon.

Our dogs enjoyed the yard and chatting with the Yorkies in the neighborhood.

Hi Lisa & Gus,

Our stay at Twin Maples Cottage was like staying as your guest in your home. You managed to have everything there in case I had forgotten something. I can't remember the last vacation where we truly relaxed! The beach was wonderful, the people friendly and the way of life was just what we needed. We would love to come back to enjoy Twin Maples and Colional Beach.

Also my two toy poodles (Bella-Baby & Maggie-Mae) made friends with your neighbor's Yorkie's. Another plus............

The cottage was awesome. We spent a week at Twin Maples and was the most relaxing week we have ever had.The cottage was perfect just like being at home,our dogs Abbie & Penny loved the space to run and enjoy the outdoors. Along with my sister and brother-in-law, my husband and I stayed at Twin Maples for the first time. The cottage is wonderful--very comfortable. It is very well-stocked!!!!! The town is quaint and quiet. The beach is very nice and clean. We had a great time.
