Our cabin has a second story 10x16 deck that over looks Oswego Harbor and adds to the spectacular sunsets. We have a small boat ramp that will accommodate small boats and adds to easy access to the water. Larger boats can launch in Oswego, about 5 miles away. The shoals in front of the camp are full of small mouth bass. In the spring, brown and lake trout run close to shore.There are a few old access roads for short hikes. At the end of our access road is an 18 hole golf course,Tamarack approx 1.5mi. With-in 3-5 miles are most major stores and fast foods.

Located behind the Novellis plant (formally Alcan) just out side the City of Oswego, N.Y. Sit on the deck and watch the boat activity in and out of Oswego Harbor. The City has all the shops and amenities you could want. Fort Ontario brings military life of 1868 alive for visitors,3mi, John D. Murry Firefighters museum plus many other points of interest near by. Day trips will get you to State parks beaches, golf courses, wineries, antiques, miniature golf, go cart tracks. Lake Ontario has frequent fishing derbies. Our cabin is located between the City of Oswego harbor and Mexico Point where you can launch your larger boat and fish for Salmon,Trout, Bass, Pike and many other game fish.

It was everything the reviews said and then some. We had just been through Irene and the aftermath and this lakeside cabin was just what we needed. As the pictures show-it is truly lake side. Peaceful, clean well kept, quiet and beautiful, we found no downside to this cabin. And all the extras put it over the top. It is a fully stocked home away from home.Thank you, John.

Peaceful sounds of the water...

With the waves to listen to with my coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night, I couldn't of asked for anything more (well maybe having Rudy's within walking distance?).

The dogs loved the water, and it was great letting them play without worrying.

We spent one day wine tasting, but other than that it was great to read, knit, and just unwind from a crazy work schedule. Kayackers and boaters were fun to watch, and though tempted, we didn't indulge.

Terrific waterfront getaway

John, the owner, is great, but you must visit this property to appreciate how unique the naturally beautiful setting really is. The cottage is very clean and neat, and very well kept. Very quaint. The water laps at the shore line while you sit at the waters edge, and enjoy campfires on the beach. The area is very quiet, and the neighbors were very friendly. Excellent for a relaxing week away. We enjoyed visiting the historical town of Oswego, and were in Alexandria Bay and the Thousand Island area in a short hour and a half. Thanks to John for providing such a nice get away for our family.

Great Winter Vacation

My husband & I spent the first week of March 2010 in this warm, cozy cabin. The online pictures don't do it justice - it was even better than I expected. The winter sunsets were beautiful and watching the waves melt the snow banks was incredible. The area was quiet, the few neighbors I saw out walking were friendly. Nice place for a little winter R&R.

Booked w/o seeing it

I booked this cabin from the internet ad. It met my expectation and then some. From the moon reflecting off the water and star filled skies to looking for driftwood, I was pleased with my stay. The cabin is charming and the balcony gives a full view of sunsets and allows for sitting out under the stars. The covered porch and picnic table creates another sitting area from the kitchen/dining. Peaceful and relaxing.
