AQUATIKA TRUE BEACHFRONT LUXURY VILLA

Our family of 6 (four teenagers and 2 adults) stayed at Mr. MacDonald's condo for a week. We absolutely loved our stay and found the condo to be wonderful. Aquatika is exactly as the pictures show. Each of the 5 pools is well maintained and there is plenty to do including mini-golf, basketball hoop area, and lighted tennis courts. The beach is nice and quite sandy, even out into the water. We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai each morning listening to the waves roll in.

Aquatika does not offer pool or beach waiters, on-site restaurants or a front desk staff. If those are important to you, you should find an expensive hotel to stay at.

For the price, this is a perfect family getaway that offers you a peaceful and family friendly vacation. You can bring your own snacks and beverages to the pool area and the beach area. The kitchen in Arthur's condo is very well stocked with all the basics you need to enjoy family meals whenever you want. We found the complex to be very safe and we never felt any degree of apprehension. The tennis courts and mini golf are lighted as are the pool and basketball areas. The condo has a nice variety of beach toys and water accessories that we used throughout the week.

We enjoyed several days at the complex and found it very easy to take in day trips to the Bio-Bay (highly recommended), Rainforest (highly recommended) and Old San Juan (highly recommended).

We simply ran out of time and didn't make it to the area islands, rum factory tours or fishing villages which we had hoped to see.

We very much enjoyed our visit to Puerto Rico. We have traveled many times to Hawaii and found this island to be equally enjoyable as the Hawaiian Islands. We enjoyed the many roadside kiosks for pinchos (meat kabobs) and barbeque open air restaurants. Food trucks by the piers in Old San Juan also offer wonderful authentic food.

Our family would highly recommend both Puerto Rico and this condo at Aquatika for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation with plenty of fun activities for the whole family.

Aquatika is a very nice complex and the unit was also very nice. The owner was very pleasant and was available by phone for a quick question I had about the area. The pictures of the unit and complex are accurate and real. The area of Loiza is a little rough looking and we did not venture outside the gates unless we were in our Jeep. We got mixed feedback from our tour guides and friends from San Juan about the safety of the area, especially at night. Grocery shopping is about 6 miles away though we saw a few small grocery marts along the road, but never went in. We used Aquatika as home base for visits into Old San Juan, El Yunque, and Fajardo for a few snorkel excursions. The beach at Aquatika was somewhat dirty and could use some attention from the staff. It was accessible only by a locked gate, which didn't help our confidence about the area. The pools, hot tubs, and recreation options on-site kept our kids busy, though none of the various snack shacks around the pools were open. This is a residential complex and not a resort complex. So, if you are looking for an on-site concierge, ground transportation, restaraunts, gift shops, and amenities like that you will be disappointed. However, it is a very relaxing, well maintained residence (right on the beach) and relatively close to a lot of sights and activities.

Our family of 5 and my best friend and daughter had a GREAT TIME. Arthur was great as he answered all our questions and concerns. He even met us at the airport to show us to Aquatika. The condo had EVERYTHING you could think of. All the amenities were in place. We definitely needed 2 bathrooms and loved having A/C in all rooms. We loved the ocean view and the proximity to the beach. It was relaxing just sitting in the balcony or laying in the hammock and lisitening to the ocean waves! We pretty much had the complex to ourselves as our stayed was during the week. It had been 21yrs since my last visit as a tourist so enjoyed staying here even though we didn't really get a chance to see all Aquatika had to offer. We were on the go every day, left early and came back late at night. It was the first time for my 21 & 19 yr old sons and friends daughter's visit to PR and they loved it! The kids enjoyed a few nightly dips in the pool and hot spa. We were close to everything and visited Old San Juan, El Yunque, Luqillo, Farjardo, Vieques & Ponce, even Walmart which was close by. The kids went ziplining and ATV riding in Carolina. One night we drove to Old San Juan for dinner and bought some Quenepas from the road venders, DELICIOUS! Getting to Aquatika was easy and we had no problem driving daily through the neighborhood to/from Aquatika. We just needed more time to explore the area. We all want to go back so next time we'll have to go for 2 or more weeks/months!
