Very charming updated cottage, perched on a wooded hillside. Sunny, bright and airy with comfortable and unique furnishings. Private deck and yard with seasonal views of Lake Kalamazoo. Great place to relax and renew. Minutes away from Oval and Douglas beaches and Saugatuck Dunes State Park by bike or car....beach umbrella provided. This cottage is very clean and well maintained. Modern kitchen and bathroom. Central air and heat. Washer and dryer. Cable tv and internet access. Available year round. Sheets (cotton), blankets and towels provided.   • Payment Process

    Reservation deposit must be received within 7 days of making reservation. The deposit equals 30% of total rental fee, or $100 (whichever is greater).

    If reservation canceled 30 days or more before 1st day of reservation, deposit refunded minus $100.00 process fee. If reservation canceled less than 30 days from 1st day of reservation, no refund on deposit.

    Balance of rental fee plus $100 damage deposit in cash, certified check or money order due at time of check in. If reservation made less than 14 days before check-in, entire rental amount due at check-in in cash or certified funds/money order. Damage deposit returned via mail within 14 days after checkout. Weekly rentals run from Saturday to Saturday. Check-in time is 3pm ET, check-out time is 10am ET.

Our group stayed over the labor day weekend. We loved our visit. The owners were fantastic. We adored the "look" of the place...extremely charming! The owners have thought of everything - chairs, umbrella for the beach, grill, etc. We really want to come back!!!!

This was our first time renting a property; it was to celebrate my husbands 40th, and boy did we pick a wonderful place to stay. The owner's were great, the place.......AMAZING. It was charming, beautifully decorated, and our family of 4 had plenty of space. We just LOVED it. It's a short walk to downtown, although we drove because of the weather. We also went to the Dunes, which is also a close drive. We will make plans to stay again, and we have recommended it to friends. Thank you James and Rene.

Happy Hill is aptly named!

I recently rented Happy Hill for a long weekend and had a fantastic experience! The cottage itself is wonderful- super clean, great art, comfortable bed and all the things that were needed were made available. One night we barbequed on the back deck and ate dinner overlooking the wooded lot behind the cottage. I took several nice long bike rides and it was within walking distance of the downtown area of Saugatuck. All in all, it was a great time and I would highly recommend Happy Hill for the perfect place to get away and enjoy being in Michigan!

Beautiful & Relaxing

My husband and I were lucky enough to stay here in April 2008 for our honeymoon! It was more than we could have asked for. It was warm & welcoming as well as clean and decorated beautifully.We had a very romantic & peaceful time away. It was nice to just relax out on the back deck and enjoy the outdoors. We did alot of walking on the beach, shopping, and spa treatments. We would recommend eating at The Blue Moon Bar & Grille. Very lovely place for couples. Also the home was very close to everything. The towns people were wonderful, they make you feel like they have known you forever, and the renter was very friendly and available if needed.We had an AMAZING time! We can not wait to go back!!!

Lovely, artsy home close to everything

My family and I had a really good time staying at this property. The home is modern and updated, but it has a cottage feel. There is wonderful pottery, glass, and pictures throughout the home. This is not a cookie-cutter property. The property was close to Douglas and Saugatuck, as well as the lake.
