Photos and Description of the Burke vacation house rental 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms

Vacation with all the comforts of home. The Shire House is ideally located in the Village of East Burke. It is an old 1832 farm house that has been restored and added on to. The house comes with a large yard, plenty of parking and a playground across the street for children. There is also a farmers porch where you can sit and watch town parades go by. It is furnished to be warm and comfortable. The house has a large front to back living room, dining room, large eat-in kitchen, and mudroom complete with washer/dryer. Well behaved dogs are welcome and an outdoor kennel is available on site. Burke Mountain, the Kingdom Trails and the VAST Trails are all readily accessible.

Nearest Airport: Burlington at 80 Miles
Nearest Motorway: Route 91 at 7 Miles
Nearest Beach: beach at 12 Miles
The Shire House is located just a short walk from the center of East Burke. Burke Mountain, the Kingdom Trails and the VAST Trails are all readily accessible. Across the street is a playground for children and horse back riding is just down the street. Lake Willoughby and Island Pond are just a short distance away. During spring, summer, and fall enjoy biking, hiking, kayaking, fishing, swimming, horse back riding, etc. During the winter enjoy downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing and snow mobiling.

My family and I were thrilled with our experience at the Shire House. Both the owners and the property manager were incredibly helpful and pleasant. The house is in perfect condition and right in town by Bailey and Burke's and Burke mountain. The way the house is laid out is perfect for kids and families. It is by far the best rental we've had (and we've had a bunch!!!) -Val
