A beach retreat in Ocean Park! Short walk to the 7 mile beautiful white sandy beach and center of Ocean Park. This charming house has been recently renovated. Relax in a home with beautiful hardwood floors, dining area that can seat eight, and a fireplace. Enjoy a bright, modern kitchen that is fully equipped. There are two bathrooms – one with a shower and the other with a full tub. Three bedrooms which include one king, one double, two twins. The couch in the living room is a full size pullout. The master bedroom is gorgeous! It is a large room with a king size bed and TV and also has a lovely sitting room with private deck. Enjoy your morning coffee and newspaper here or cocktails after a day at the beach.You will find every amenity you can think of including high speed Internet, gas grill, washer & dryer, 32 inch TV with cable & large family room. Lots to do in a wonderful family-oriented vacation area!

A short walk away you will enjoy the center of Ocean Park with an ice cream parlor, penny candy store, restaurant, gift shop, library tennis courts & shuffleboard. Walk on the beach to nearby Ferry Beach – or for a bit of a longer walk – walk to Old Orchard Beach. Lifeguards on duty in July and August. Relax at a wonderful beach with soft sand. Enjoy some early morning or evening fishing, collecting shells or sea glass.

In addition to the wonderful beach, you will find lots of activities nearby including boating, windsurfing, kayaking, biking and golf. A short drive will take you along some lovely scenic drives and some famous lighthouses. There are also a wide variety of amusements including Old Orchard Beach, Funtown/Splashtown Amusement Park, movie theatres and mini-golf.

Perfect Vacation Home

Our family has rented many homes in Maine over the years but I have to say, by far, that this is the best one of all. This home offers every amenity imaginable including internet access, fully equipped kitchen, convenient first floor laundry area, gas grill, games and large TV in the livingroom.The master bedroom is to die for with the separate sitting room, private deck and television. The other bedrooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable. It's too bad that there aren't photos of these as well. Having 2 full bathrooms is a luxury not always offered in rentals. There was so much room that everyone had a place to retreat when they wanted some quiet time away from the family. Everything was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The distance to the beach was around 10 minutes and, like the house, it was clean and well-maintained. The street is very quiet which allowed us to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep after a busy day of kayaking, bicycling, swimming, shuffle board and tennis. I recommend at least one stop at the old-fashioned ice cream parlor and candy store. Although we shopped Hannaford's to stock up, it was convenient to have the little deli right in the heart of Ocean Park - we highly recommend their lobster rolls. The distance to OOB Pier is doable although I'd recommend driving and parking for convenience. You can see the Pier and rides from the beach but are far enough away to not hear all of the noise. Watching the Thursday night fireworks from the beach was a bonus.This is a true family vacation home that would appeal to all ages. We look forward to returning next summer and are thrilled to have finally find the PERFECT vacation spot.

Everything you need and more

If you are looking for a place with coastal charm AND all the amenities, you will not be disappointed with this spacious rental. We were delighted to find not only modern appliances, comfortable beds, and tasteful decor, but also dozens of puzzles, games, books (for children and grownups), beach supplies, kitchen gadgets, etc. The owner has thought of everything a family with young children (mine are 4yo and 7yo) might need to settle in and enjoy the area, and was also extremely helpful and accommodating with our questions and requests. The short (~15 min) walk to shuffleboard, beach, ice cream, restaurants, etc. was perfectly doable with a wagon and beach cart-- and worth it since we were able to return to a quiet neighborhood at the end of the day. Close to everything. We highly recommend it!
