Our family has rented many homes in Maine over the years but I have to say, by far, that this is the best one of all. This home offers every amenity imaginable including internet access, fully equipped kitchen, convenient first floor laundry area, gas grill, games and large TV in the livingroom.The master bedroom is to die for with the separate sitting room, private deck and television. The other bedrooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable. It's too bad that there aren't photos of these as well. Having 2 full bathrooms is a luxury not always offered in rentals. There was so much room that everyone had a place to retreat when they wanted some quiet time away from the family. Everything was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The distance to the beach was around 10 minutes and, like the house, it was clean and well-maintained. The street is very quiet which allowed us to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep after a busy day of kayaking, bicycling, swimming, shuffle board and tennis. I recommend at least one stop at the old-fashioned ice cream parlor and candy store. Although we shopped Hannaford's to stock up, it was convenient to have the little deli right in the heart of Ocean Park - we highly recommend their lobster rolls. The distance to OOB Pier is doable although I'd recommend driving and parking for convenience. You can see the Pier and rides from the beach but are far enough away to not hear all of the noise. Watching the Thursday night fireworks from the beach was a bonus.This is a true family vacation home that would appeal to all ages. We look forward to returning next summer and are thrilled to have finally find the PERFECT vacation spot.
