Emeral Island Resort: Emerald Island Resort is a secure, private, manned-gated community situated within hundreds of acres of protected woodland and wetland. The community consists of a multitude of spacious, executive holiday homes, utilizing a communal clubhouse with many amenities on offer to guests. Set in a picturesque and tranquil landscape, it's the perfect place to relax after a fun day at the theme parks. Although it's a very quiet, peaceful area, the hustle and bustle of Disney is only three miles away, making Emerald Island the closest resort to the Disney parks. The Grounds The stunning surrounding area includes numerous lakes containing a variety of local wildlife such as otters and tortoises. There are dedicated pathways throughout the woods for those who enjoy getting closer to nature, plus picnic and barbecue areas. The main entrance road is lined with palm trees, and you'll pass fountains and water features as you enter the community.
The Clubhouse The clubhouse is located near the main gate of the resort. It has its own heated pool/spa, plus a sauna, games room, tennis courts, volleyball, gymnasium, internet café and club lounge. There is an information centre available at the reception where you'll find helpful advice on activities such as catching the shuttle-bus to the Disney parks. Free coffee or tea is also provided at the reception.
