Cozumel Vacation Rental villa

What a pleasant surprise to stay at Casa Birdie! When we seen the pictures we didn't know if they were true or not. What a suprise to all. This house is spectacular and words just don't describe how beautiful it really is. The layout of the house is wonderful and very tastefully decorated with birds everywhere. I will recommend this home to anyone that is looking for somewhere to stay in Cozumel. We felt like we were at home here and the property manager is such an incrediable person and very helpful and very accommendating on any issue that we may have had. This house is great for families with children of all ages. The swimming pool was great surprise and bigger than what the pictures seemed,and it was cleaned everyday. We truely loved staying here and hope to stay here again real soon. The location of this place is great also. It's only about 10 min. into town and would highly recommend renting a car. If you like to snorkel, then this is a great place to stay. The best snorkeling we found was about few miles down the road to the Corona bar. This home is located right next door to Carlos & Charlies surf club which is great to be able to walk to. They close down at 5:00pm every night, so no worries about it being to loud at night and very peaceful.

What a wonderful house Casa Birdie was! It was this house that made my vacation truly fantastic and memorable. The layout was absolutely perfect and was very accommodating for our large family. Especially the rooftop "lounge" as we liked to call it.
The house was stocked with everything we could have possibly needed, and everything had a special "birdie" flair! The information provided at the house gave us great recommendations for daily activities as well as the best places to eat. It enabled us to see the hidden local restaurants that were out of the tourist circuit. Especially O'Tates Restaurant where we loved the "Gringas!"
Cleanliness of a vacation spot is a high priority for me and at this house it was never an issue, inside or out. Everything was very well maintained and in excellent condition.
I would recommend Casa Birdie to everyone I know. Everyone will enjoy this house and I guarantee there is something special there to please every member of your family or group, from the pool equipped with a sun umbrella to the friendly tree frog that surprised us late one evening! There were also lots of amenities for children, such as movies and books and of course pool toys.
Both the property manager and the homeowner were excellent! The owner was very helpful while planning the vacation keeping us informed about local events and activities, we were able to witness the end of their Christmas holiday while we were there!
To those of you who are still on the fence about Casa Birdie or Cozumel, I recommend you come and see it for yourself. It was the best vacation I have ever been on in my life. The memories I have from that week are ones I will cherish forever. Go to Cozumel, you will love it. Guaranteed.

Our stay at Casa Birdie was better than a vacation, we felt like we were living in Mexico. The house had everything we could possible need, really!. We were there with three couples and one child (all family) and it was perfect for us we loved having the space to all be together and also the the respite of the beautiful bedrooms(with private baths and balconies). The yard is wonderful,we took daily lizard tours and were never disappointed, we saw ones 3 in to 5 feet in a rainbow of colors. Birds frequent the lovely trees and plants and just lounging by the pool(playing or relaxing) became our afternoon ritual.And each night we enjoyed the roof top patio(listen for the tree frogs) The beaches were great, they are all free and within walking distance. We would set up a nice spot under a tree, or lounge by Carlos... The water is calm there, and home to a wide variety of marine life. Look for the baby hermit crabs in the coral, or put on a snorkel and see amazing fish. We were never disappointed.Take the service road to town to find some great snorkel spots. CB is located in a great spot, it's just far enough away from the airport/cruise ships to be peaceful, but close enough to make a morning run to the mega store or fruit market or for dinner and drinks(about 8 miles).Renting a car was key, and if you can get one where the wind blows in your hair even better.It was easy and relatively inexpensive and allowed us to explore the whole island. Converible VW bugs, scooters and 50 other cool vechicles were available. One of our favorite parts of Cozumel was the "other side" or east coast of the island Heading south from CB, we saw the original colony of Cedral, and the lighthouse at Punta Sur both are worth the visit. Dont miss the small sandy driveways and wooden signs on the right as many lead to small private beaches with rest. The east coast is jungle and breath taking ocean views, the ocean is rough and lined with massive coral but we found some great beaches and calm coves.While there go to Playa Bonita for drinks and food, Coconuts is good as well but dont be surprised when someone is taking a topless photo or leaving behind their undies. Driving the east coast in a convertible was my personal favorite. When dining in town pay with a credit card or pesos to get the best exchange rate (it should be posted), amazing mexican food at oatates and a fantastic italian meal at Prima.People were friendly and honest.
