LUXURY VACATION HOME WITH 180 DEGREE VIEW OF THE PACIFIC

My group had a wonderful time at the house. The pictures don't do it justice - it's even nicer than it looks. We had wonderful sunset views from the upper level. The kitchen facilities were perfect for our group to prepare meals and eat together, and the large living room perfect for sitting and talking. We liked it so much, we booked it for our get together in the fall!

It's close to Half Moon Bay, and several easy access beaches. Suited us perfectly.

We booked this house for my birthday weekend for our family and family dog. As with last year it was somewhat of a rainy weekend with some periods of sun. The owner was a pleasure to deal with. The house is very nice. It has wonderful panoramic views of the Bay from the Master bedreoom, kitchen/dining area and living room. Very nice remodel upstairs (reverse floorplan) with granite kitchen, wood floors, etc ( It's a one flight climb so not good for the walking impaired). Light and airy with wrap around decks. We had a few minor complaints: downstairs bathroom was not as clean as expected, not enough towels for our group of 5 and no curtains/drapes in the Master Bedroom. The owner acknowledged these issues quickly and rectified it as far as we were concerned. We had a wonderful time there and recommend it. One caveat. The house is above Rte 1 so you can hear some road traffic when outside (but not inside). Not a problem for us but it might be for some.

Our family of seven just returned from a 4 day stay at this home in Half Moon Bay. This is a beautiful home in a very nice neighborhood, and we had a great time. My thoughts on this house are as follows:

Pros: The view from the top floor is amazing. I could sit and watch the ocean all day! This house is laid out very well. There was plenty of room for everyone, and we didn't feel cramped at all. There is easy access to the highway. The garage is large, and there is a small yard that is very private.

Cons: As the house is close to the highway, there is considerable highway noise. The house lacked some basic amenities, such as extra towels, extra toilet paper, garbage bags, etc. I cooked every meal in the kitchen, and there were a few essential things missing like a water pitcher, whisk, etc - although the kitchen overall is very nice. They do have a gas grill, but if you want to use it, you have to get the propane tank filled yourself. Who wants to do that while on vacation?

Overall we really enjoyed our stay, and were sad to leave. With a few extra touches, this could be a five-star property all the way!
