Antler Ridge derives her name from the elegant deer, frequently seen grazing in the lush green grass & lending their own sweet charm to the setting for this fantastic cabin. Some of them even loaned their lovely head ornaments to adorn the chandeliers! Lavish use of natural stacked stone, surrounding the kitchen island & the Jacuzzi – garden style tub in the master bath, along with twig-style lighting fixtures, rich granite countertops, warm hickory floors and cabinets, over-sized palladium windows, stainless steel appliances and (if that weren’t enough!) Giant Screened, HD, Plasma TV’s mounted in each of the 3 bedrooms & above the stone fireplace in the Living Room! Grapevine railings, rich leather couches, deep pile carpets, a bistro style game table & seating in the open loft,tasteful plaid wallpaper in the kitchen, whimsical décor in the “bunkroom” with imported woodland style bunk beds in glazed bark finish with twin above and full sized (or double) bed below, custom everything!
Accommodations & Accoutrements :
The Master Suite, located on the main level, has a luxurious King sized, 4 poster bed, elegant antique-style cabinets with marble tops & set-in sinks. There’s a private little balcony off the upper level Queen sized suite, just above the hot tub; and the Bunkroom is also located on this level. With a total of 3 bedrooms and 2 and ½ baths, there’s comfortable accommodation for up to 7 persons. Decks and covered porches wrap around the cabin & provide an almost panoramic, year-round view of the surrounding mountains and lake. Soak in the luxurious new Hot Tub and let the bubbles work their magic out under the stars. Snuggled back in one of the rustic rockers or perched atop a stool at the bistro table and enjoy a tall cool one. You’ll enjoy the accompaniment of music to suit every mood, provided by the stereo speakers mounted up under the eaves and watch as the scene changes in the twilight hours. Things To Do, Places To Go & Sites to See!:
Located just minutes from the town of Hiawassee yet close to the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, you'll want to check out the calendar of events online at the chamber to see what festivals, concerts and shows are coming up & plan accordingly. There are free concerts on the square, weather permitting, each Saturday night during the season. Local artists display their wares in many of the quaint little shops along the way & antiquers will have fun mulling over the booths there as well. You'll enjoy a wide variety of restaurants with cuisines ranging from Sushi to Barbecue & everything in between. Bring your boat & dock it at a nearby marina or rent a pontoon, jet skis or kayaks & spend the day on pristine Lake Chatuge, the jewel of Hiawassee! Families with small children will want to visit the Cabbage Patch Museum or trout farm & everyone loves a picnic at one of the nearby waterfalls. Don't miss the Alpine village of Helen just 30 minutes away, and plan to go tubing on the river!
