This is a dream vacation destination! Verandah Bay is located one mile to the white sands of Fenwick Island beaches, and captures magnificent bay views in all directions from your own private luxury oasis. New construction with all of today's bells and whistles, including an elevator, this is the place you will want to come and never leave! There are 4 large bedrooms, and a Bonus room which has a Sleeper Sofa. All linens and towels are provided, as well as place settings and kitchen necessities. This new community also features a pool which is right outside of your front door. Four large verandas and a private patio give each room it's own outdoor escape. Great location in the heart of summer fun! Bike down to the beach, stroll along the quiet streets surrounded by marsh and wildlife, take a quick drive to nearby restaurants and shopping, or into Ocean City for exceptional nightlife and activities for the whole family. (Two homes at this location, so ask about renting both for your extra large groups!)

Off Season Stay

Our house was under construction in the winter and we stayed at Verandah Bay. The house is appropriately furnished for our family of four for an extended stay. The views of the surrounding Bay environment and bird life was exciting to watch each day along with a sunrise coffee and sunset drink in the evening. Never a dull moment looking out through any window. The snow geese were outstanding to watch. Ocean City is within view and Harris Teeter or Food Lion is down the road. We felt completely surrounded by nature yet all sorts of shoppingand restaurants were available in a short drive. Though the pool was closed and the beaches cold we still were very comfortable with the other off-season amenities such as walking, and biking.

The rental is located along a major highway that takes you to route 1. The view of the road and noise from the vehicles can be heard and seen from the rental and pool. The rental is 1 of 2 homes that have been built in a lot that will maintain a number of homes. The pool is shared with the other renters in the second home. Overall, the contact for the home was pleasant and very accomodating. The home is pleasantly furnished and very current. However, the home was not clean and I had to contact the renter to request trash be removed, stove cleaned. There were other issues but given it was our vacation we tried to carry on. Overall, not what we expected.

Owner's Response: We remain dedicated to making all our guest comfortable in clean accommodations and gaurantee a quick response to any issue that may have slipped by us during the season turn-overs. We know its your vacation get away and time is of the essense.

Thoroughly enjoyed Verandah Bay. I brought my 4 daughters and their husbands, along with 4 grandaughters and there was plenty of space for everyone. The pool was a great passtime and we actually spent more time there than on the beach. Cooking and eating space was perfect for the whole clan. I would definitely return and recommend Verandah Bay for a great beach vacation.

Family Reunion 2010

The listing description was very accurate. We had 7 adults and 3 children and there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves. The property was clean and well-maintained and nicely decorated. The views of the water were beautiful and what a sunrise! I would highly recommend this property to a friend or relative. We loved the State Park which Sarah recommended.

We had a problem with the alarm system, but Sarah was quick to get it resolved. However, the person who came to house from the alarm company had a real attitutde and was not very pleasant.

Since this was a family reunion, we did not go to restaurants. We had lunch one day at Leo's and the subs and pizza were delicious and the restaurant was very "child friendly". We did bring in fried chicken from Phillips and it was delicious. All of us had a great time and will come back the next time we have a family reunion in DE.

My entire family agrees that this home was the best we had rented so far! My sister, who has a bad knee, loved the elevator! We always appreciated it when we were moving in with all our suitcases and groceries.

The views from all sides of the house are breathe-taking! I particularly enjoyed having my coffee out on the veranda overlooking the bay.
