Bledsoe County and its historic County seat of Pikeville are one of
Tennessee's best-kept secrets.
Centrally located, you can relax and enjoy the laid back pace of
rural America, or take in the many activities at two beautiful state
parks, Fall Creek Falls State Park only 18 miles west or Cumberland
Mountain State Park, 25 miles north. Visit historic Dayton, 15 miles
to the east, with its Rhea County Court House, site of the famous
Scopes Monkey trial in 1925. In Crossville, (known as the Golf
capital of Tennessee) 30 miles north, enjoy live theater and musical
concerts at the critically acclaimed Cumberland County Playhouse,
shop in the Factory Stores of America outlet mall or on week-ends
check out the largest flea market in central Tennessee. In
Chattanooga, 55 miles to the south, See Rock City, Look-Out Mountain
and the Tennessee Aquarium are just a few of the attractions.
Relax: Come to the rural countryside where the pace of living is slow and easy. Gain access to your hide-a way through an electric controlled entrance gate.
Nature makes all the difference here as the surrounding lake and mountains provide a beautiful view in every direction.
Listen to the singing of the birds, the chatter of the squirrels, the croaking of the frogs, the splash of fish jumping and at night the hoot of the owls, and the yelp of the coyote.
Bring yourself, your friends, your loved ones and food. Everything else is provided in this, your home away from home.
Things to do: Fishing, peddle boating, outdoor grilling, picnicking, swimming, hiking, watching TV, DVD or VCR, reading a good book or just sitting back and being as lazy as you want to be. All this and more is yours on site.
Just 18 miles from Fall Creek Falls State Park.
There are several down home type restaurants a short drive away if you do not feel like cooking.
The house is rustic, but very clean and features all the modern amenities.
Secluded from neighbors, surrounded on three sides by a lake.
My family enjoyed Coyote Crossing this summer. The cool temperatures, the quiet setting with amazing views
of the mountains. The property is on a peninsula surrounded on three sides with a lake. We enjoyed the views and activities - something for everyone who needs to relax - We even picked fresh fruit on the property including peaches and apples. Short drive to Pikeville town where the people are the friendliest, enjoyed the "Pig and Catch"
front porch dining on Main Street in Pikeville and the "Simple Treasures" tea house for lunch, collectibles.
Spent the days hiking Fall Creek Falls (incredible hiking and wildlife, deer) then relaxing at Coyote Crossing and enjoying evening meal together. At the end of the day, slept like a baby!
Very lovely, little tucked away home. And it felt like home and NOT a rental. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because the beds were not all that comfortable. Not really a problem for me and my hubby but my sis-in-law was 7 months pregnant and couldn't get any sleep because the beds were too hard. So maybe pack a couple extra pillows to tuck around you if you plan on visiting while preggo. BUT this place made up for it in every other way. Extremely peaceful and relaxing....we loved it!
Coyote Crossings is a beautiful spot for a relaxing stay. The cottage was very comfortable and provided everything we needed for the weekend.
Our family had the absolute most gracious vacation last summer while staying at Coyote Crossing. You have to stay there in person to experience the charm and connection with nature that this rental offers. We were looking for a cozy place near Fall Creek Falls and I was entirely impressed with this choice. Just imagine exploring the mountains and and waterfalls by day and spending quality family time rowing on the lake, cooking over the fire pit, and playing a few camp fire games at night. I wish I could visit here once a month to unwind and be one with nature. We are looking forward to enjoying future family vacations here. Thank you for the awesome hospitality and allowing us to create memories while sharing your simple piece of heaven.
Very rural location. 18 miles from the east entrance of Fall Creek Falls state park. 22 miles to a Super Wal-Mart, 35 miles to nearest movie theater. Near the small town of Pikeville, 4 miles, basic necessities are available.
Small grocery store, bank, hardware store and several small mom and pop type restaurants.
