Nags Head Vacation Rental townhome

We (wife daughter and I) stayed in unit 6 (2BR, 2Bath, one floor, sound side view). Very clean, seemed to be relatively new, owner and agent very friendly and personable, enjoyed our stay very much. We did not spend alot of time in the room (too busy at the beach, eating out, Jockey's ridge, touring Manteo, etc etc) but the time we did spend in the room was good. Great balcony even though it overlooks Croatan Highway and Food Lion, but sunsets were nice (there are units that do have ocean side balconies). Good location for visiting Kitty Hawk to Manteo to Oregon Intet areas. We have been coming to Outerbanks for many years from MD, we stayed here as we decided at the last minute to come down for a 4 day weekend, whenever we come back down and do not stay on the ocean this will be the place we will try to come to. Not really a quick and direct way to walk to the beach from the units, but only a few blocks to a public access, we mainly drove down to the National Seashore anyway so no big deal for us, but if you are looking to just walk right out the door and be less than 200ft walking distance this might not be the right place for you. All appliances worked great (fridge, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, did not use stove but looked clean. Central Air worked great, was not on when we got there either - but no big deal, room was cool in no time and no sense wasting electricty as we were not coming in on the coat tails of others. Give it 4 of 5 stars, would have given 5 if it was ocean side balcony (we did not know it was sound side until we got there, but still that was OK for us) and there were some elevator issues the night before we left that the owner was working to correct as we were leaving. Bottom line, I would not hesitate to recommend this unit to anyone looking for clean affordable accomodations that wanted a central location to Nags Head and did not care about staying right on the beach.

We vacationed at these condos in late June for a girls weekend and loved them! They are very clean and have plenty of room. The condos are located at the 14 mile post behind the Ocean Beach Wear store. It is only a short walk to the beach or if you want to drive they have a special parking pass for a private beach access. The acess does have a well kept bath house. Our unit had all the accommodations we needed including towels and linens. The owner was a very nice guy who made us feel very welcomed. He really takes pride in these condos. He was easily accessable by phone or by walking down to the shop. I plan on staying at these condos again and would highly recommend them to everyone. Perfect for anyone vacationing in the OBX.

These condos are actually on the backside of a retail store "Ocean's beachwear" on about the 3rd row back from the beach. There's a keyed access code to enter and an elevator to access the main floor. The main living floor is suitable for people with disabilities, but you can only access the other 2 bedrooms by stairs. Probably not a lot of room for wheelchairs. Private beach access with bathrooms is nice, but a bit of a walk. We needed the exercise anyway. The home was very clean and nice. It's only about 1 year old and well maintained. We did find a couple of items underneath the edges of a bed and chair that were left by former renters and not found by cleaning (empty pill blister packs and 2 blocks from a child's playset). There are hardwood & tile floors with carpeting in the bedrooms & a jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom. This was very nice. The furnishings were comfortable, but the main living room is small. Being able to carry a small pet was a big plus for us.
Great quality for the price! Convenient location to everything! Definitely would recommend to a friend and will consider using again.
The owner was very personable and concerned about our satisfaction and experience. Nice gentleman.

Be sure to visit the Curituck lighthouse in Corolla, where you can climb to the top (200+ steps). On the way back, there's a fruit/vegetable stand in Duck (right on the main highway). Quality items at a good price. This made for a nutritious meal while away from home.
Adrianna's restaurant in Manteo had a superb lunch with a nice view. Miller's waterfront dining in Nag's Head provided a great seafood dinner.
