This is a studio apartment, so less than 450 square feet. It was a little smaller than we were anticipating, but the apartment was very clean and the furnishings were modern. The location is ideal - you have access to a deep water canal for your boat and you are right on the bay. We arrived on a Sunday which I guess is a big party day for boaters at the sandbar a few hundred feet north. There were about 50 boats playing loud music so it wasn't at all private or quiet. As the week went on, there were less boats but still lots of passersby so it was not as quiet as we would have liked. A few traveler tips - bring your own soap and other toiletries, and an extra roll of paper towel. There's a mini fridge and a very small freezer, so I also suggest bringing ice packs and a cooler to store ice. Counter space is very minimal but we didn't use the kitchen for any cooking other than making sandwiches for lunch. I wouldn't have attempted any dinner in the kitchen. Jerry, the owner, is very nice. Although he doesn't live in the upstairs of the property, we did see him just about every day. We thought that was a little odd, although he didn't bother us. My husband and I prefer a bit more privacy, both from the rental owners and the area in general, but the location is spot on, the apartment very quaint and cute and the water access unbridled.
Owner's Response: 1/ Your stay at the apartment was at the time of Lobster Season Opening week. It is nationally known event in the Keys and a lot of people come for this week. Our beautiful beach is one of the nicest in the Keys and that is why sand bar attracts so many boats during holidays.2 / If our guests need anything all they need to do is to let us know. 3/ Owner comes to the property to make sure garbage is properly stored outside and to keep the property clean of all debris that Mother Nature brings. 4/ We encourage people to ask questions about the place and to read guest comments before they decide to book. Sincerely.
