We stayed here in August 2012, the entire experience was FANTASTIC.

The rental process was very easy, working with the owners was great. They were responsive and accommodating. They provided DETAILED instructions on how to find the house, use the tv, wifi - where to find things and even gave recommendations for restaurants and activities.

The house is very clean and very well maintained. I found it to be better than described and better than expected. The pictures are very accurate.

The house is wonderful, our party was only two people - but we commented a few times it would be a great home to visit with a group of friends. The front and back porches were stunning, there is a two car garage, a laundry room with full size washer/dryer. A huge game room - we did not use it, but could image it would be used by a larger group.

We asked about movie channels on the TV and before we knew it the owners added every movie channel available along with the golf channel.

We did have a few issues with water pressure and with the Jacuzzi not working - the owner had a plumber come ASAP. The water pressure was fixed - but the Jacuzzi did not work. This was not a deal breaker for us considering everything else was so wonderful.

Lake Lure was great. This house was fantastic and the owners were great. I highly recommend this vacation home.

what a week! (Ed, Clayton,NC)

We spent the week of Thanksgiving and found the home to be just as advertised. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and the views from the back deck were even better than the pictures. Property is secluded yet convenient to all activities(15 min. to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock, 45 min. to Asheville). Plenty of restaurants within 15 min. drive and it seemed that each meal was better than the one before. Owner is very friendly and truly wants your stay to be enjoyable. Whether staying "on the go", or just enjoying the peace and quiet at the home, we would recommend this property.

Amazing views, secluded, terrific home

We spent an extended Labor Day weekend at this peaceful mountain home near Lake Lure. Although you pass other homes as you travel up the mountain, it feels like you have the mountain all to yourself.

The view is spectacular during the day, and even more amazing as the sun is setting. Sitting on the home's large back deck looking up at the stars is a relaxing and perfect way to end each day.

The back deck also provided a perfect setting to host a meal for friends that live nearby. The children (and everyone else) enjoyed trekking down to the seemingly private river. (Aqua socks/water shoes are recommended.)

Tony (home owner) is friendly and very easy to work with. This vacation home ranks at the top of our Western NC vacation rental list, and we travel to the area 4 or 5 times each year.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Get away from it all.

The location was secluded with beautiful views. From the front porch rocking chairs we saw humming birds, turkeys, squirrels, and butterflies. The home was nice & clean with a great layout. All beds have pillow-top mattresses, and comfy pillows. We enjoyed grilling on the nice BBQ grill on the back deck, and relaxing in the jacuzzi tub. A short drive away, we enjoyed the beach at Lake Lure and several nice restaurants. There are also lots of activities nearby - horseback riding, gem mining, shopping, tubing, boat tours, swimming, and I especially liked the corner produce stands that offer all the local jams, jellies, honey, apples, and tomatoes. I recommend this home to any couple or family who needs to get away from it all!
Recommended for:  Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
