Our yearly sibling vacation reunion was spent at this beautiful mountain home close to Lake Lure. At the top of a winding road you will come to the clearing with this welcoming, warm and nicely decorated home. It even has a two car garage. The views from the back porch are spectacular even in early spring. The directions given by the owner were easy to follow.
The bedrooms are very spacious and the beds and bedding were exceptionally comfortable. The TV and satellite reception was terrific.
All appliances including dishwasher, washer and dryer were like new. The owner provided toilet paper, paper towels, soap and even had shampoo and conditioner in each bathroom.
Thngs to Do: Lake Lure Boat Tour(really enjoyed this)
Biltmore (Amazing-quite a trip through the mountains on winding roads) Well worth the trip
Places to eat: Little deli place in Chimney Rock that has an outdoor deck on the back that is right on the river.
Larkins on the Lake: Friendly, Fun, Beautiful Views, Good food (but expensive) Loved the area and the home and had a great time and would go back.
Caution: Lady bugs swarm in spring in this area, so you can expect to see some inside.

We loved our stay in Feb.! The house was large, open and clean. The owners thought of everything. The beds were very comfortable. Our entire extended family had plenty of room to relax and enjoy one another. The kids had a blast with the river and exploring in the woods. The kitchen was great for all our meals (plus barbque on deck). Plenty to occupy all indoors and out, with easy access to many sites and shops near by.Will definately be renting again for our summer getaway!
