Come enjoy the newest luxury retreat on Mt. Crested Butte! This elegant four bedroom home is located on the edge of the Gunnison Nat'l Forest boundary, on the North side of the Butte, providing sweeping views of the East River and the great, fronting wall of the Elk Mountains from the deck. The house is in the Wildhorse community on the edge of the East River Valley, a 15 minute drive from the town of Crested Butte, and remote enough to enjoy a quiet night beneath the stars. While far from the crowds of the ski resort center, the Goldlink chairlift is a ten-minute walk from your doorstep, and provides unique ski-in, ski-out access to the slopes. The home is luxuriously furnished, offers a jetted tub in the master bedroom to relax, stone showers in all four ensuite bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, living room with home theatre system, an LCD TV, cable access, and DVD collection, a stone fireplace, wireless internet, & radiant heat. The home has every amenity for maximum enjoyment.

Our home borders on the Gunnison Nat'l Forest Boundary. One can hike from the backyard down to the East River below. In the summer one can hear the sounds of the river rising up from the valley. Crested Butte is known for its fantastic skiing in winter and for the annual Wildflower Festival in summer. The area is also known as a mecca for mountain biking. The whitewater rafting and kayaking on the nearby Taylor River is always fun with different levels for the whole family (we have done it). There is also excellent fishing in the area. In addition this summer brings an arts festival as well as music festival to Crested Butte.

The House with a view

Our group arrived mid-october and saw the last of the beautiful fall colors, then we got to see 6 inches of snow. The living room was perfect for 7 of us to warm by the fireplace visit and play games. The kitchen was well equipped to handle our gourmet cooks needs. Every one is ready to make a return trip to this wonderful house. I will recommend it to all our friends.

Totally gorgeous and the owners are fantastic to work with on all your needs. Provides all the comforts of home with fantastic luxury. I would recommend a thousand times over.

We rented the house for 8 adults and 4 kids,plenty of room. The house was just beautiful,the views were stunning.We had fresh snow so wre able to see animal tracks right up to the house.The chair lift was a walkable distance from the house,but preferrd to drive to the main lodge. We did however ski right to the house at the end of the day. The house had everything that you need, and then some extras as well. The owners of the property were just lovely as well. They made it so easy. I spoke to them several times on the phone,and were always promp to return my calls. I think i may have two new best friends!!! I highly recommend this property if you want elegance, prestine beauty,and peace and quite. A+++ Happy skier,Kathryn

Truly a dream home with unbelievable location

We stayed in this beautiful house with our family of six in early 2008. The house sits on a ridge with an unbelievable view. It is very comfortably and beautifully furnished (we tried to buy some of the authentic antiques!). Access to skiing is great and we have already booked to come back. Nice owners too.
