3RD QUESTION. Why should we stay in this particular unit in Building H at the Palm Villas vs. other Palm Villa units? What is unique about it?

FIRST- It is larger than both the 3BR/2BA Queen & 2BR/2BA Princess in our complex with a large loft. If you are looking for a little more space for that extra person, this is the one. Each bedroom has its own bath.

SECOND- As the owner, I am biased, but we specifically chose this location because we believe the H building location is the BEST in the complex. Here is why. It is in the very rear of the complex, away from any possible pool noise, and nestled against the Golf course. And since it is at the very end of the driveway, it gets no road noise. It is secluded, very safe and very quiet.

THIRD- After it was finished, we went way beyond the ordinary to have this place professionally decorated and custom painted with the highest quality furniture, furnishings and art from Tommy Bahamas and others so that you will feel pampered and know that you are not in “just a rental”. You will experience the difference from the moment you walk through the door to when you slip in the amazingly comfortable beds at night. You see, this is where we vacation, and that is how we want to feel when we are in Hawaii.

FOURTH- This is an upstairs unit that faces the historic preservation area, the royal fish ponds and the ocean. Therefore at night, the cool breeze comes through screen door and windows and you can hear the soft crash of the waves on the beach.

You can eat dinner outside at night on the lanai and face amazing sunsets or watch seasonal fireworks from both resort hotels over the ocean. Or just sit in the comfortable chairs on the lanai with your morning coffee or evening glass of wine looking over the incredible view. It is Hawaii … and you are on vacation. It does not get any better than this.

FINALLY- From the early construction days to even now weekly, we have prayed and asked our Heavenly Father to place blessings of peace and rest on all the people, of all kinds and nations who rest in this house. Many have remarked on how they experienced the peace of this house.

Pefect condo

We had the perfect vacation on the Big Island staying at this condo. The location was ideal-- very nice, short walk along the beach path even loaded down with 2 small kids and gear. The condo was even better than the description provided. It was equipped with everything one could possibly use/need and all of it was in great condition. While a little tight for 2 families with a total of 3 babies/toddlers, it would be perfect for a single family with kids. We had a fabulous stay here and cannot wait to return!

This is a beautiful condo within a small, gated complex located in an idyllic, serene location yet convenient to restaurants, shops and a grocery store. We absolutely loved it here! It was well maintained, spacious and very clean. Everything was top-notch …. gourmet kitchen, beautifully furnished living and dining area, loft, two bathrooms, and two bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The master bathroom was gorgeous and had a large shower with pebble tile flooring which felt great on the feet. The garage contained snorkel gear, beach chairs, coolers, anything and everything you may need. After our fun filled Big Island adventures everyday, we enjoyed spending the evening on the lanai which overlooked a historic preserve. Soooo peaceful and relaxing! The paved path to the beach club through the preserve and ancient fish ponds was a pleasant walk and also connected with the Shoreline Trail, fantastic for walks and/or runs as it passes through several lovely beaches. The tropical grounds were impeccably landscaped and lush, with a wonderful lava rock pool and hot tub area which was very quiet and relaxing. The reservation process went smoothly, and the owner was very informative and helpful. We hope to return for another amazing vacation on the Big Island and would definitely stay here again. Mahalo!

Amazing stay at the Palm Villas

Our experience at the Palm Villas was wonderful. The condo is obviously well cared for and very well stocked with everything from kitchen utensils to beach supplies and DVDs. Booking was easy and accommodating. Our condo was beautifully furnished and very clean. We loved the convenience of the BBQ on the lanai. The condo complex and pool area was also very quiet and well kept with nice landscaping. The Mauna Lani Resort, as well as the beach club, made this stay extra special. We enjoyed a couple of activities at the Shops at Mauna Lani (the free Polynesian show was impressive), snorkelling at the Beach Club, and walking around the ancient fish ponds (especially beautiful at sunset). Although we found the walk to the beach a little long if we were carrying beach gear, it was an easy 5 minute drive to the beach club. We would love to come back .

Terrific location and beautiful condo

We enjoyed our stay in the Palm Villas at the Mani Lani Resort for two weeks in March, 2015. The location was new to us and we enjoyed exploring the many resort walking trails and the Beach Club. The Napua restaurant at the Beach Club was outstanding and the setting is perfect. The snorkeling at the Beach Club was surprisingly good and the beach provided a great location to enjoy the beautiful water of the Kohala Coast. We really enjoy this part of the Big Island of Hawaii and the condo’s location is close to several other beautiful beaches and the Waimea highlands. The farmer’s markets in Waimea are outstanding and the condo's kitchen is well equipped to take advantage of the fresh produce and seafood purchased at the Kawahae Harbor. From the resort property we could see the snow topped peaks of both Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea mountains. The unit is very nicely decorated and the beds are comfortable. We had more than enough room to spread out. The owners also provided lots of picnic, snorkeling, and boogie board equipment. The rental agent was also readily available when we had one question about the washing machine. We’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Excellent condo

Love this condo and its location. It is equipped with everything. Bob Patterson and I appreciate that there tissues, paper towels and toilet paper on arrival. We also appreciate the snorkel equipment. When we got into the condo the light in the master bedroom closet was out. Also the lamp by the lanai doors was flickering the whole time we were there. Another issue was the bottom shelf of the dishwasher's front two wheels were broken. The dishwasher rocked forward so that top shelf kept rolling forward. We did call JT about the lights in the evening about the lights. She made it seem it was an inconvenience to her to come replace it. She said she would come the next day and she did not. She or her staff did show up on Wed. We also reported the broken track wheels right away. Regarding furniture, I think the living room furniture could be more comfortable. We had to bring over the dining room chairs to watch TV. also the TV remotes were difficult to work and we especially were frustrated that the remote had no Guide.

We love this small gated condo community. It tends to be quite quiet, which we both appreciate. The condo is clean when we arrive. I definitely would recommend to others.

We enjoy everything on the Big Island. Our favorite restaurants are Brown's at Fairmont Orchid, the Beach Tree at Four Seasons Hualalai and Canoe Club at the Mauna Lani Resort.

Owner's Response: We always appreciate constructive reviews that help us to improve. The dishwasher issue is being corrected. The lamp flickering we were never told about but we are investigating now. It seems there is a difference of recall on our responsiveness. Our standard is to address minor issues like light bulbs out in 24 hours and major issues immediately. I am told we met those standards in this case. This is the first comment we have received on furniture comfort. Karen and I now have it on our list to investigate when we are on site again in May since we freshen up the homes twice a year through personal visits. The TV remote is a universal remote which we purchased and had programmed because of its simplicity of operation. We have very high confidence in JT as our onsite person and believe she will give the attentive and personal care that we have as our standard.
