Tribeca apartment
Review Submitted: August 20, 2011
Date of Stay: July 2011
We stayed in this apartment for five nights in July 2011, following a Caribbean cruise from/to Brooklyn. The apartment is spacious, and has absolutely stunning views of downtown Manhattan, and across the Hudson to New Jersey, from the balcony. The location is unbeatable, in the safe and tranquil district of Tribeca, with a host of excellent restaurants on the doorstep, and with easy access to many of New York's major attractions.
On the negative side, the apartment had some pre-existing maintenance issues, which would have benefited from being repaired promptly, the balcony was full of dead plants, and the sofa bed was covered with a torn piece of material, which all lent a bit of an air of neglect. The apartment has a dishwasher, but not enough glasses and crockery.
Unlike many other reviewers, we found Richard somewhat high handed and difficult to deal with - we rent out a holiday property in Europe, and give much more attention to ensuring that clients are happy and well treated, when it comes to the details of their stay, prompt return of deposits and courteous communications.
A great apartment in terms of space, location and rental rate, but the client service aspects mean we wouldn't re-visit.
