vacation rental #183875
Review Submitted: August 6, 2009
Date of Stay: August 2009
The location was great - we overlooked the pool and convenient. The condo could have been very charming, but was decorated in Salvation Army poor. The unit was filthy -- I had to clean the refrigerator before I felt comfortable putting food into it. We were given 2 bath towels for a week's stay --. There were no bed linens for the sofa bed ( we brought our granddaughter thinking that she could spend a night on the sofa). We would never have put her on that sofa anyway. The complex looked very charming - great for picture-taking, but obviously maintenance was minimal as the laundry room was as filthy as the condo. I am sure that for college guys who live in this fashion all would be well, but if you are other, don't bother with this place.
I wasn't able to put in date of arrival -- June 2009
Owner's Response: I apologize that I even have to address the inconsistencies and false information listed in this review. First of all, this is my personal unit which I take vacations. My unit is cleaned after each person departs the property. I inspect the property frequently and I have never experienced the fridge that was too dirty to put food into. A request was made for additional linens, which was performed first available. My housekeeper put out more towels and verified the linens were out. The unit was cleaned again, but was reported it did not need it. The laundry room is common area and is cleaned by the association and not my responsibility. However, I did pass the information to the property manager. The Salvation Army poor decoration comment was completely uncalled for and a personal attack. I pride myself on the way my unit looks. Most of my furniture and decorations are two years old and came from Pier One and Kirkland's. This is not what I consider Salvation Army. The sleeper sofa is in great condition and has been recovered. Please read my other very favorable reviews and look at my pictures. They are an accurate depiction of my property. Unfortunately some people are not satisfied regardless of the attempts made to please them.
