Perched on a wooded hilltop above its neighbors, and with views of Ryder’s Cove, this tastefully decorated, three bedroom Cape backs up on Chatham Conservation land. The back door accesses a sunny kitchen with cathedral ceiling: an island separates it from the living /dining room combination. Snuggle by a fire on those damp days or take in the sun and the views on the slate patio just outside the sliding glass doors. A large master bedroom and bath complete the downstairs. Upstairs two good sized bedrooms bookend a second bath. A finished basement with den, game room and full bath provide additional get-away space. Central air keeps you cool if the weather gets steamy. You can go kayaking or simply sunbathe at the deeded beach a short walk (200 yards) from the house or launch your motorboat at the Ryder’s Cover boat ramp less than a half a mile away. The house is ideal for families or for grandparents who want to have their children and grandchildren visit. No pets.

The 'S-Cape' is perfect for boaters. You can keep your kayak or sunfish on the deeded beach 200 yards from the house, or launch your motorboat at Ryder's Cove marina less than half a mile away. A two mile ride takes you to an entrance to the official Cape bike trail, but a half mile ride will take you to a secluded peninsula with some of the most beautiful vistas on the Cape. The town of Chatham, mecca for shoppers from all over the Cape, is two miles distant. Besides the deeded beach public bay and pond beaches within a couple of miles in every direction and twenty minutes takes you the ocean beach at Nauset or the Sound beach at Hardings.

  • A $150 cleaning fee charged in addition to the rental payment. If the house is left in poor condition, and cleaning costs exceed that amount, it will be deducted from the security deposit. Tenants who rent for more than two weeks are expected to have our cleaning woman come once a week.

  • There is a full bath on every level and a big outdoor shower located just off the patio in the back of the house. The bathrooms on the main and second floor have dryer lamps.

Because the house sits on a hilltop, the upstairs bedroom windows and skylights have views of leafy trees, sky/stars, and, in one room, a splash of water. The master bedroom and bath have a lovely view of the Ryder's Cove.
