You will love this beautiful directly oceanfront unit on Maui's picturesque south shore. From every angle of this condominium you will be awed by the beauty of the Pacific Ocean, with swaying palms in the foreground and the West Maui mountains as a backdrop. Go for a sunset stroll on the beach, wander down to the local shops and restaurants of Kihei, take a refreshing dip in the pool or the warm Pacific ocean, fish on the beach, or sit in the hot tub and gaze at the stars. Kauhale Makai is located in the Northern (ie: closer to Kahului/Paia, Ma'alaea, Lahaina and Ka'anapaali) end of Kihei, and is a terrific central location from which to experience all the Maui has to offer. The building itself has a resort-type feel with a very inviting pool/hot tub area, with a BBQ and dining area poolside. Our building is ideal for a quiet, relaxing getaway, a family vacation, or as an action-packed home base from which to enjoy the wealth of attractions and activities on Maui.

Our Unit Will Save You A Ton Of Money because we have included everything we can think of that you may want during your stay (including guidebooks, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, games, toys, beach chairs, reptile habitats and dip nets, balls, spices for cooking etc.),so that you can spend your money on other things. We have children too, so we understand how quickly all those little things that children have to have can add up. Our oceanfront location is great as if offers a lot of variety-not to mention the breathtaking views! People kayak, canoe and kite board at the beach in front of our building. If you are a strong swimmer, you may wish to swim out to the buoy out front of the complex where sea turtles are frequently found. The whale watching off the lanai is choice during whale season. For fitness enthusiasts, turn left when you get to the beach for an uninterrupted 2 mile walk on the sand (1 hour round trip). Many people gather treasure and kelp on this stretch of beach.

  • The bathroom offers a separate sink and vanity area with mirror to allow for getting ready while another guest may be having a shower. The counter top is granite with new taps, a large mirror and modern lighting. The bathroom area is a bone colored tile. Coin laundry in building.

  • Room 1 - 1 Queen, 1 Child Bed, 1 Baby Crib, Child bed by request and can sleep 2, must be arranged ahead
  • We keep a portable playpen in the closet which can double as a crib, for your use, free of charge. We also include a baby feeding chair with straps and a tray which fits on all normal chairs for your convenience. There is also a stroller and a U-shaped nursing pillow in the closet. If you wish to accommodate up to 2 additional children, please let us know in advance and we will arrange to have a folding double mat and extra linens and pillows put in the unit for a flat fee of $75 for the length of your stay. There is no surcharge to the rental rates for the children, just a fee to cover our costs for laundry and having the mat put in and out of the unit, and to buy a replacement mats as needed.
