Excellent Home Away from Home - Fantastic Location

I spent a week in this lovely apartment and it was wonderful. Very accommodating - all the comforts of home! It is comfortable, clean and has all the amenities! Absolutely perfect location for just about anything you want to do in the city. Walking distance to so many wonderful restaurants, shops, museums etc. Especially liked Tealuxe for tea and lunch! Lauren is very responsive and gracious. I highly recommend Lauren and her apartment if you are looking for a spacious, lovely location in Boston! Note that it is intended pretty much for one person or couples as there is only one bed!

An oasis of peace and tranquility in Boston

We stayed for a week in this apartment in April to see our Son run the Boston Marathon.
We would normally have chosen to stay in a hotel, but our enquiries seemed to show that all good hotels were either full, or so expensive as to precude a weeks stay.
Our experiences in the past, renting accommodation ,have taught us to lower our expectations as to what is actually provided compared to the advertisment for the property.Not in this case. The apartment far exceeded our expectations in every way.
Lauren had provided easy access on our arrival.On entry, our only possible comment was 'wow'.Over the next 7 days, we were never disapointed in anything.
Lovely, plentiful linen and towels,copious hot water,super, well equipped kitchen.Best of all,a bed that didn't leave us in need of another holiday to get over it!So comfortable.The apartment was spotlessly clean and nice and warm,a boon as Boston was quite cold for the fist few days.Also, It was Lovely and quiet inside.
Boston itself was a delight.We did touristy things,Whale watching was fantastic.Boston Harbour Cruises were excellent.Our advice is to book directly with then, not an agent.
The city itself looked beautiful, and people are friendly and courteous on the whole.
Beware of Joe's American Restaurant,nearby.We had a great Brunch,but their weekday breakfast was an expensive waste of time.Far better,Paramount on Charles St, Beacon Hill,gave a wonderful taste of American breakfast.
Our favourite restaurant was Atlanic Fish Co.on Boylston.
I would recommend Boston and this Apartment to anyone who would like to experience the United States at its best.
We hope to return soon.

Location, Location, Location

I can't say enough wonderful things about this property. At your front door is Commonwealth Ave. Mall, which is a lovely walking path leading to the Boston Public Garden. You're a short walk to Beacon Hill, with it's restaurants, shopping, and historic homes. The footbridge to the Hatch Shell on the Charles River, and the boathouse is also a short walk away.
I loved the free concert. Copley Square, the Prudential Center with it's indoor shopping mall is a few blocks away. Newbury Shopping and a CVS and Shaw's Supermarket is right there for stocking up on supplies. The brownstone is beautifully decorated and a very chic and calming home base for your Boston adventure. You'll feel like a local and the owner has thoughtfully left tourist information, shopping bags, and a shopping hand cart. There's no reason to take a cab - they are expensive and you can take the T everywhere you need to go. Be sure to get a subway and walking map of Boston before you go.There's an
entrance 2 blocks away at Dartmouth and Copley. Everything seems just a few blocks away.
I can't say enough great things about the Brownstone. The photos are very representative but still can't do it justice. It is very beautiful, elegant, and well appointed. The owner is very gracious and easy to work with. Ask for two sets of keys when you rent, and when you come and go to the brownstone, lock the upper lock in the vestibule by the mailboxes per the request of other owners, even though the bottom lock is
automatic. If you want to feel at home in Boston, this is the place!
