A brand new chalet with yellow pine wood floors, living room with cathedral ceiling, extra large four bedrooms, two full baths, sunroom, full kitchen, wood burning fireplace, washer and drier, front deck with gas grill. Located in a luxury all-year round resort community of Masthope, two hours drive from NYC or Philadelphia. The house is within a five minute walk (0.4) mi. to the private sandy beach of the swimmable lake with boating, fishing, volleyball court, snack bar. Masthope community also offers Olympic size pool with slides, diving boards, kiddie pool, tennis and basketball courts, horseback riding, private access to Delaware river with picnic area. In the winter: downhill skiing, snow boarding, tubing at Ski Big Bear. Brand new lodge with fire places, restaurant, bar, game room, ping-pong, billiard and a stunning views of the mountains. The community is within a short distance from scenic towns of Milford, Hawley, Narrowsburg and Honesdale.

Relaxing, comfortable getaway close to the city

My family and I rented this house for a week in late June 2008. We found the house the be very clean and comfortable and the rental process was very easy. The house is just a few years old and the owners just started renting it so everything is in excellent condition. The community is great, both the pool and the lake beach are lots of fun and there are snack bars in both areas which makes grabbing a drink or food very easy. The community is very wooded and we saw both deer and wild turkey right from the porch. The house is very near the lake (you could walk if you wanted). The girls also enjoyed the horseback riding as well. All in all a great time and we would definitely rent again!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
