Year round Vermont lake front home with large deck facing the lake. Amenities include central air conditioning, flat screen TV with comcast cable and wireless internet access, Blu Ray DVD player, fully equipped modern kitchen. Very well stocked with dinnerware, utensils and everything you need to prepare the meal of your choice. Large 30x12 foot deck off the living area overlooking the lake complete with Weber propane grill and comfortable deck furniture for outdoor dining and relaxing. Bedrooms have newer mattresses and views overlooking the lake. New 28 foot aluminum/ cedar dock with seating area and swim ladder that will accomodate your boat if you bring one or choose to rent one. Six mile long lake excellent for fishing, boating and swimming. Minutes away from golf course and tennis courts. Located on a narrow dead end road on the western side of the lake away from busy route 30. The road is situated between the house and the steps down to the private lake frontage and dock.

Golf nearby: Most Vermont golf courses are open to the public. Lake St. Catherine Country Club is th away. Three miles away and there are special rates offered on Mondays. The newly rebuilt clubhouse is open for lunch and dinner and has a bar. Other courses within an hour drive are Prospect Bay, Middlebury, Killington, Green Mountain National, Okemo and Equinox.

Shopping details: There are two discount shopping outlet areas nearby in Manchester Vermont and Lake George, NewYork. Lake George is approximately 45 minutes away and offers boat tours/cruises on the lake and is also home to Great Escape amusement park and a water slide park. Manchester is about 30 miles away. In addition to outlet shopping, Bromley Mtn. is located east of Manchester in Peru Vt and has an Alpine Slide that operates during the summer.

Lake St. Catherine details: Lake St Catherine is a six mile long spring fed lake that is suitable for fishing, swimming and boating. There is a free public boat launch in the town of Wells. Boats may also be launched at Lake St. Catherine State Park however there is a fee for entrance to the park. There is a State Park nearby with a sand beach and Paddle boat rentals.

Motorboats can be rented for the week from a nearby marina and they will deliver and pick the boat up from Lake St. Catherine. Our waterfront is great for swimming off the dock with swim ladder.

Lake St. Catherine is in central Vermont near the border of New York State. The lake is located in an area surrounded by the western foothills of the Green Mountains. In addition to water sports, it is a great area for hiking, biking, golfing, antiquing and shopping. There are six ski areas within an hours drive.

Golf: Lake St Catherine Country club is 3 miles away. It is open to the public and features a nice restaurant and bar in addition to the 18 hole golf course. Pro shop, lessons, club rentals available.

Ski: Lake St Catherine is 45minutes to 1 hour away from Killington, Pico, Okemo, Bromley, Stratton and Magic Mountain

  • Walls are made of knotty red cedar. Large windows with views of the lake. Floors have wall to wall carpeting. Mattresses in both bedrooms were replaced recently, king mattress is 3 years old, the 2 twins are new this year. Both bedrooms have windows overlooking the lake.

Notes: This home cannot accommodate renters who want to have large gatherings of visitors during their stay. Parking is limited to two cars at all times. There is a spacious deck that runs the length of the house however there is no lawn to sit on or park additional cars on. The deck overlooks the lake and has a large table with an umbrella that seats 4-6 as well as an outdoor sofa and chairs with side tables. A Weber propane grill is available for your barbecuing needs. There is additional outdoor seating beneath the deck on the ground level. The house is surrounded by woods with a flower garden in the front. Steps lead down to the private waterfront (see photo). Newer dock extends out 28 feet from the shore and can accommodate two boats. Platform attached to dock at shore with seating. House has full walkout basement/owner storage that is not included in rental, however there is outdoor seating under the deck on the ground floor. Boats can be launched at the fish & game public access

We stayed at this beautiful cabin on Lake St. Catherine for a week in July 2012. Everything was just as advertised. Linda, the owner, was responsive and efficient. The house had plenty of dishes, towels, etc., and we used the BBQ grill several times. The lake was just the right temperature and we needed the A/C only on a couple of days.
