Golf nearby: Most Vermont golf courses are open to the public. Lake St. Catherine Country Club is ten minutes away. The newly rebuilt clubhouse is open for lunch and dinner. Other courses within an hour drive are Prospect Bay, Middlebury, Killington, Green Mountain National, Okemo and Equinox.
Shopping details: There are two discount shopping outlet areas nearby in Manchester Vermont and Lake George, NewYork. Lake George is approximately 45 minutes away and offers boat tours/cruises on the lake and is also home to Great Escape amusement park and a water slide park. Manchester is about 30 miles away. In addition to outlet shopping, Bromley Mtn. is located east of Manchester in Peru Vt and has an Alpine Slide that operates during the summer.
Lake St. Catherine details: Lake St Catherine is a six mile long spring fed lake that is suitable for fishing, swimming and boating. There is a free public boat launch in the town of Wells. Boats may also be launched at Lake St. Catherine State Park however there is a fee for entrance to the park. There is a State Park nearby with a sand beach and Paddle boat rentals.
Golf: Lake St Catherine is approximately one hour away from 6 Vermont ski areas: Killington, Pico, Okemo, Bromley, Magic Mountain and Stratton.
