My 3 sisters and I stayed at the Sea Palm for a Thanksgiving / Birthday celebration. The house & view were idyllic and location in proximity to downtown Charleston & Folly Beach pier worked well for us. The house itself was comfortable, well appointed and true to the pictures posted. The porches/deck and beach proved to be a strong lure vs the attractions of Charleston - even in November. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciate all that the owner did to make us feel welcomed.
I would definately choose this property again should another trip to the area be in order.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Simple pleasures

Four generations of our family, six people ages 11-90, loved every minute at the Sea Palm. Spotless, bright, uncluttered but with everything we needed and enough personal touches that it felt like a home, not a hotel. We strolled the beach, watched the sunrises and sunsets from the deck, and thoroughly enjoyed the location -- only minutes to the Folly Island businesses and an easy drive to reach beautiful downtown Charleston and all it has to offer. We've rented through HomeAway many times and the Sea Palm ranks right up there with the best of our finds through this site.

Great house

Four of us recently returned from a week at the Sea Palm. We hated to leave. The house was spotless, beautifully appointed, and stocked with more kitchen ware than my own home. The view of the beach was lovely. We enjoyed walking to town, beach combing, relaxing on the porch....it was a wonderful vacation. We look forward to returning next year.

Great place to stay on Folly!

We had two families stay (4 adults and 5 kids under the age of nine) for a week with plenty of room to spare! The view was fantastic, as was the short walk over the dunes to the beach. Close enough to downtown that we could walk to restaurants and the pier. Lee was very helpful with any questions that we had...we would definitely stay here again!

What a week and what a house!

My family and I (6 adults and 3 kids) stayed for a week in June, and had a fantastic time! Folly holds a special place in our hearts as my grandmother lived on Folly. The Sea Palm was perfect for our needs - bigger than the photos show, bright, well-stocked, and in a perfect location on Folly. Lee was wonderful to work with and very accommodating throughout the rental process. We plan to return to the Sea Palm in 2010!
