The back yard is on the Huleia River, where Indiana Jones swung out to the bi plane in Raiders of the Lost Arc. The lanai views the mountains and ocean so close you can almost touch them. Just a short walk to Kalapaki Beach, where you can rent Kayaks and take surf lessons or just hang out at Dukes barefoot bar sipping Pina Colodas and eating Pu Pu's. Just 15 minutes to Poi Pu, and Kapaa, 45 minutes to the North Shore or Waiamea Canyon, the central location is the best for home base to the island. Star food market, Costco, Sears, K Mart, Macys, and Starbucks are just a few of the stores in the Kukui Grove shopping area, 5 minutes away.
