Contrary to a previous review of this house, I found it fantastic. The ocean is right below the back terrace and the front opens up to the air strip for the Navy where we could watch planes land and take off, as well as the morning exercises for the Navy. Beyond that is more water where the car ferry comes in.
The place felt like home. It was very comfortable with an updated kitchen. The filtering system for water was very helpful as we had no fears of drinking the water. Ceiling fans kept the house cool and we only used the AC when necessary. There was a nice sea breeze most of the time.
The house had a wonderful terrace and rooftop so you could get away from others and still enjoy the views. The outdoor shower was a nice feature for cooling down when sunning on the terrace.
The owners provided two bicycles which were a nice feature. It is also close to "downtown" so the walks were no problem. Plus being on a main road, it was no problem to hail a cab when we needed to.
Two bedrooms opened to the terrace so the sounds from the ocean could lull you to sleep and wake you in the morning. The kitchen was very functional - new appliances and they even had a grill for outdoor cooking. Two hammocks, couches, chairs and loungers were great for spending time outside.
We met the owner who was very gracious in showing us around town; meeting us at the ferry with a golf cart to shuttle us to the house and explaining things in the house.
Overall, it was a great vacation and a great house to live in during our stay. I would definitely recommend staying here!
