Upper West side ? Pool ?

This apartment was very clean and had tons of space if you are travling with lots of people. We had 6 and were very comfortable. You must tell owner in advance if you want AIR CONDITIONING. It is on a controler system and is a extra charge and is a must in the summer.
The location is also not as descibed. It is on the upper west side but it is in Harlem, not exactly again where indicated in the listing and the avenue views I did not see. Also, the 1st line of the description was pool in building, but there is no pool- it is a community pool down the street. IF you have a car- dont. The parking is crazy and you will get plenty of tickets even with a big walk.
All in all, it is a very nice apartment 2 blocks from subway, clean and nicley furnished, but not as described. Would not stay here again for the location only.
Owner's Response: Response: All of the necessary information on the apartment was presented in an above board manner and clearly available on the website. The tenant seems to have overlooked the information and had admitted to doing so when we discussed her concerns. The advertisement clearly indicated that air conditioning was extra though the tenant admitted to "assuming" the price was included. The website advertisement also clearly indicated the pool to be a communal pool, never stating the pool to be in the building. The tenant admitted missing this information and attempted to place blame on the site for it not being listed on the first page. Parking was also clearly stated to be available on the street for no additional charge. Upon the tenant's arrival and as a courtesy, I informed her that her car should be placed on the right side of the street for street cleaning so that it would not be necessary to move it in the morning. As in any city, if the car was not moved, a parking summons would be issued. The website indicates that you can "park on the street" for free or have use of an indoor parking garage nearby. It is completely unrealistic to blame the owner for the renters parking circumstances. On May 7, 2008, prior to arriving to New York and prior to paying a deposit, tenant, requested the location of the apartment and was immediately informed of the location, weeks prior to arriving to New York City. The tenant was made aware of the location and subsequently rented the apartment based on the location and the proximity to Columbia University. The tenant made many presumptions, none of which is the fault of the website or the owner since all information was clearly stated on the website. Lastly, after a lengthy discussion before and on the day of the tenants arrival, I offered to return all monies if she was not comfortable to which she declined and decided to stay.
