|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
This historic home in West Falmouth village is accessible to all your needs. Within a short walking distance you will find:
The 100 year old West Falmouth Market which has outside tables to enjoy breakfast and/or lunch
A few doors down is located a day spa and hair salon
Across the street is an old fashioned ice cream shop and historic Methodist Church
Further down Rte. 28A horseback riding is available
In the other direction, historic West Falmouth Library (offering WIFI) abuts the property and less than a mile beyond is Chapoquoit Grill, a local favorite for dinners.
Beyond the Grill is the entrance to the well-known Falmouth Shining Sea Bike Path which takes one through breath taking scenery to the lovely village of Woods Hole.
Lastly but arguably the most appealing aspect of this rental location is the favorite resident beach, Chapoquoit Beach. Its sandy shores offer magnificent nightly sunsets.
All this is .6 of a mile away! Now, in 2010 the bike path goes from North Falmouth to Woods Hole. You can get on it around the corner from my house!!
This well-equipped 3 room apartment, located on the second floor, includes a bedroom with a queen sized bed and full private bath. A kitchen for dining in as well as an additional room which is perfect for reading or watching TV completes this apartment!
My husband and I stayed in the West Falmouth apartment for a week this September (2014). It was absolutely beautiful. I loved West Falmouth, Chapaquoit Beach and the bike trail. The next time that we are up we want to try the canal path.
The apartment is beautifully decorated with interesting historic pictures and books. There is a plethora or art work and a gallery of art downstairs down by the owner.
We plan on returning every year.
Thank you Ann.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights (checked in late on Friday) and left early Sunday morning. I feel that our one day was enough to explore Falmouth (Chappaquoit beach, Shining Sea Bike path) and Woods Hole. Anne was really sweet and accommodating. For future trips, I would look to stay here again!
Thanks for having us!!
Captains house was lovely as was the owner Anne. It was perfect in so many ways. Clean as a whistle, charming and the bed was so incredibly comfortable. The linens was so beautiful and pristine . Not a bit of dust anywhere ! Anne was thoughtful on many levels, and she left fruit ,yogurt , granola, coffee , tea and muffins! West Falmouth is a great location offering close access to beaches and the quaint town of Falmouth! We loved everything about this place and meeting Anne was delightful. She takes pride in her home and in the people who visit. My husband and I had a fabulous time and can't wait to return !
MY bride and I were celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary and found this gem of a place to stay. We honeymooned in Nantucket but thought the Cape would be a great area to spend some time and we were not let down.
The apartment is spacious, airy and run by a wonderful owner who has an eye for attention and needs. A full kitchen, TV room (we didn't watch any TV) and an additional front room for relaxing made our stay memorable. The place was impeccably clean and the outside of Ann's home is full of beautiful gardens, too.
It's location makes it easy to get to local beaches and the Shining Sea Bike Path is literally seconds away for cyclists. (When hanging around in W. Falmouth, we cycled everywhere.)
So much to see and do in Falmouth and everything is very accessible. For food options, we recommend the Quarterdeck restaurant in Falmouth, the Landfall in Wood's Hole, and the Lobster Pot in Provincetown. (We took an afternoon/evening trip up - super fun place.)
We will definitely be back! The hospitality was second to none, the apartment was gorgeous and comfortable. Can't say enough - you'll have to experience it yourself.
You will love staying in the Sea Captain's home! The apartment is beautifully decorated, neat as a pin, and clean as a whistle! Anne provides so many thoughtful amenities, which adds her personal touch to your visit and showing her care and desire to make her guests feel comfortable and at home! I felt extremely welcome, and plan to stay at Anne's home again. There is also a shed in the back for your beach and bike, etc. storage. Her gardens are stunning and at a glance will give you a glimpse into the detail she extends to her overall property. You must stay here!
Our stay at the Sea Captain's Home on Cape Cod was better than advertised. Anne is truly a gracious hostess, always available and very accommodating. The apartment was perfect; quaint, clean, very comfortable and close to beach, bike path, restaurants and shopping. We definitely plan to stay there again on our next visit.
