Spectacular Village Home with Ocean View

This is a beautiful home! It's very spacious; our group included 4 adults and one small child and we never felt at all cramped. It is VERY well stocked and exceptionally clean. The historic house has been immaculately maintained and updated - the inside is very modern but still retains hardwood floors and other nice architectural details.

The kitchen is beautiful and very functional. The laundry area is very modern and nice, and is a wonderful amenity, particularly if you are staying a long time or traveling with children. There's a beautiful, slightly more formal living room as well as a more casual living room with a large flat screen TV.

The top-story bedroom has a wonderful view of the bay and lobster pound, but the village street it sits on as well as the pond and landscaping also make wonderful views from the other windows. The location is also great in that it's very close to town (well within walking distance), but not so close that it feels overly touristy. Parking is great - right beside the house.

Traci (the owner) was excellent; she answers email quickly and has left a very comprehensive binder inside the house with information on the home itself as well as town. We accidentally left behind a souvenir and a personal item, and she was nice enough to mail them back to us (we hadn't even realized we left the souvenir - she found it).

On a side note, Belfast is a great town to stay in if you're wanting to explore the mid-coast! Acadia is an easy drive as are 'larger' towns like Camden and Ellsworth. Castine (a hidden gem) is also an easy drive. Young's Lobster Pound is a bit rustic, but wonderful. Nautilus is a great restaurant, as is Darby's. We also loved the deck at Three Tides (make reservations!!). Belfast is an easy drive from Boston.
